Sure, thank you very much! The Land Rover defender is a pretty good set. For a pretty reasonable price, you end up getting some pretty advanced mechanisms like the speed transmission gearbox. The set captures the essence of old lego technic, while still keeping the look of modern day lego Technic sets
You need to stop comparing prices from distant years without taking inflation into account ! $100 in 2010 is worth $122 in 2020 for example, that is 22% difference !
I got into lego technic because of the awesome trucks. I need to find a concrete truck and the volvo articulated loader when I get some time to head to the lego store.

Yeah I definitely should’ve put the 8285 on this list! I think the 42128 will be a good set, I will definitely make a video about it when it gets revealed

The VOLVO articulated hauler is great excapt the main driving motor doesn't have enough torque. The value is great and the gearbox is really cool. Apart from the motor being too weak it is a really good set. ☺

i dont think that the old technic sets from under 2010 should be considered. they arent selling it anymore and even if you were to find it, it would be higher than the sian
Good video! I just put batteries in my stuff and staged them for display. I forgot how cool the Volvo Loader was. Altho not a "truck", I think that's one of the best sets in recent memory. Plus having 4 motors, including a servo motor that was only in one other set. Defineatly some good bang for the buck.
Thank you! Nice! Honestly I think the new Volvo articulated hauler is much better, since it includes much more pieces, it’s better detailed, and it has a fully motorized and remotely controlled speed transmission gearbox
@@Unbrickme Well, the loader was full remote also, 4 wheel drive, I thought it was designed fairly well. I'm not too familiar with the Articulated Dump but worked on the real ones. It is pretty spot on visually. Not sure how it steered, whereas it should have been like the loader. I'm not a fan of the gearboxes, I think thats just a way to reduce the amount of motors in the sets. Like the BWE, instead of a single XL motor, and literally feet worth of drivetrain, they could have used a large for each of the tracks, an XL for the rotation and material belt and a large for the wheel. Slapped 2 IR receivers in it , and made it full remote. Dumped a lot of the gimmick railing and fluff pieces, like the dump truck and made a really worthy model. But, they went the cheap route and added 1 motor and 600 parts that just made it fall flat on its face. Retailed for $279, but had they done the 4 motors I would have paid $300 to $320 for it no problem.
I agree the Volvo l350f wheel loader is definitely a good set, I just don’t think it’s legendary. I specifically remember being kin of upset with the Volvo loader back in 2014, since I thought it was basic with little cool mechanisms. Now with the arocs, crawler crane of 2015, CLAAS tractor of 2016, and even the bucket wheel excavator of 2016 all MASSIVELY impressed me at the time. Each set was unique and had lots of cool mechanical mechanisms! Sure the bucket wheel excavator would’ve cooler if remotely controlled, but to be honest, unless the RC vehicle has a gearbox, I prefer just 1 motor controlling everything, for the most part. I definitely make exceptions for sets like the 2007 motorized bulldozer, cars, and the "cheap" $100-$130 rc sets like the off road buggy
