Australia sends more support to Tonga

The Australian Defence Force has deployed aircraft to further support Tonga after an underwater volcanic eruption last week caused severe damage and killed at least three people.
Essential supplies, helicopters and an army engineer contingent were sent yesterday, as part of the operation named “Tonga Assist 22”.
Australia along with Japan and other Pacific nations are leading the international response effort to help the island recover.
