- Rwanda-backed M23 Rebel Capture DR Congo's Largest City Goma
M23 rebels have captured Goma, a key city in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), after heavy fighting with the Congolese army. Thousands of residents have fled as the takeover sparked chaos, looting, and a worsening humanitarian crisis. The UN has called for M23 to withdraw and end the violence. Since 2021, M23 rebels have seized large areas of eastern DR Congo, a region rich in minerals. The UN reports that since early 2025, over 400,000 people have fled their homes in North and South Kivu, near the Rwandan border.

Yes it is M23 which is the name of the project. Project owners are Ugandan and Rwandan presidents. Project coordinator is someone from congolese background to mislead the world. Project workers ( armies/soldiers are rwandans and Ugandans and suth sudanes and kenyans as far as it is known) I hope this helps.
