I think they did a solid job on aesthetics & visual appeal, nice color choice too. I like the idea of a burlier fork, but I wish they’d consider more adventure oriented Ebikes. Where’s my camperbike?
Great intro. Please take this to the Alps so we can see whether this is a real park bike, or if the weight is too punishing for the components when you case jumps and choose bad lines in a rock garden.
Marcel Lackner you totally misunderstand it, Yes, when it comes to MTB, Specialized is Apple, but when it comes to eMountainbike, Haibike is the market-leader. The better comparison: in eBikes, Haibike is Mercedes Benz, with a high variety of Vehicles that are number 1 in their segment, and specialized is just the small manufacturer like MCLaren, with a very small variety and not relevant in market shares
You sort of suggested that it had more torque than the previous (2019) model if I understood you correctly? Both 2019 & 2020 both put out the same 90nm.
My 2017 hardtail Levo has 90nm of torque. Weird that they reduced the power output on the 2018 hardtail Levo? Mine also has a dropped post and the 2018 doesn’t. Exactly why a bought an ex demo Levo for £2500. It’s a lot of bike for the money. I upgraded to 29ers and the bike shifts.
What do you think of hardtail ebikes? I love my commencal Meta power hardtail and have test ridden a few full sus ebikes. I found they feel sluggish. Is it just me?
Sweet, I have a ton of experience W or WO E and I ordered one, they are fun as hell. Thanks Specialized great bike. What a bunch of cry babies. Opinions on most things do not mean much unless you can afford it or have experience with something. Get 2 or 3 freinds and go hit 25 miles hard on a kenevo. Dam Fun
Disappointed, same as old Kenevo,a downhill bike with a motor , fantastic if that’s what you want but was hoping for something more enduro , the Levo is an aggressive trail bike and the Kenevo is a mild downhill bike , they’re missing the sweet spot enduro e bike .levo EVO maybe ! Till then trek rail for me .
No, there is a reason why some manufacturers my rentals included don't have suspension lockouts for climbing. An E-Mtb is always gonna beat any non MTB uphill in terms of time. (unless the battery has run dry) However it does feel as fake as a prostitute moans whenever you make it up to a steep climb. There is in my opinion no feeling of achievement when completing steep climbs.
love it the best overall from all big hit ebikes giant reign chain stays as long as my leg lovely colour though, never liked cannondale brought out there new big hit e bike 67 degree head angle WTF that was ok 20 years ago lovely colour again though would have gone for this . YT decoy looks ok good deal every things right but got yt capra already . so just got to rob a bank for the 7000.00 for this.
will bikes ever have a resonable prices? not thinking only of e bike. i live in Croatia i have a good job and my year full paychecks wouldnt cover bike like this it getting a bit out of control
RookieThe hi, I visited your country last May and yes it was beautiful and honesty I wish I had my mountain bike with me, anyways do you guys have bike parks?
Sure hardtails are made for a variety of wallets. E-Mtb's are still pretty expensive. I have Cube Acid E-Mtb's in my rental fleet. But here in the Veluwe you just don't have the roughest terrain types that require a specialized tool. (pun intended.)
@@krisusmc2699 yes we do.. in Istra town called Rabac there is small bike park and its awesome cuz it is close to sea views are insane... and we have a lot of local trails in Zagreb
I live in the UK and completely agree the prices for these bikes are just ridiculous even for a decent non emtb. You could get a brand new motorcycle or nice second hand car for the same money, but they are much more fun : )
@@wattyler5591 sure you can get a low specced naked bike for the same money. Or a second hand commuter car. But you can't get a carbon fibre sportscar for 6-7k. That is more like 200-300k for a Mclaren 650s and up. You can get a good hardtail MTB for less then 600 quid www.tredz.co.uk/.Cube-Analog-27-5-29er-Mountain-Bike-2019-Hardtail-MTB_200334.htm Deore front mech Deore XT rear mech. Decent Alumunium frame decent rockshox front suspension. Nothing exotic but it will get the job done.
Not sure this is really nessasary, even an extra 10kgs in nothing compared to the variance between a light (60kg) and heavy (100+kg) rider yet normal mountain bikes deal with that just fine.
Even though rider weight does make an impact its not completely the same. The bike is an extension of the rider just as a sword is. Just think of it like throwing around a 1.2kg samurai sword vs 3.6kg two handed long sword. You will feel the difference even if your 80kg or 120kg. Also Weight in motion will also multiply when it comes to how heavy it is to manoeuvre. So just adding a couple of kgs to the bike will effect how you can throw the bike around in corners and jumps.
@@dodger1x lol that's not the most relatable analogy I've ever read. I'm sure the rider can easily feel the difference but I don't the the suspension really needs to be beefed up just for 10 extra kgs.
Seriously one of the best looking ebikes out there. Just a stunning design to look at, and seems like it performs too.

Why on earth is an e-bike supposed to be good as a park bike?
Adrian Schwizgebel our park has no shuttle service or gondola
Great review, thanks!
Triple clamp fork, yes!
Perfect application of the ebike technology, especially in the current COVID context which makes chairlift access more difficult.
Great review. On motorbikes the triple clamp can bring the stanchions forward of the headset, and so increasing the range of steering.
I like this frame heaps better than the old one!
So they basically did, what Haibike did three years ago.
Specialized is apple of the bicycle world.
Marcel Lackner in more ways then one if you look at their Instagram
I think haibike did it better, fox 40's true 200mm travel on Mavic deemax rims

Yes. More dual crowns plesse.
Great review as always! 👍Triple clamp fork is a no for me for the reasons you mentioned... still keeping my Meta Power 😀
Nasty, good that I still have his predecessor
I wish Evil could have used this name for one of its bikes.

Take Levo and put on Eddy Current or Wild E tires and ride it Enduro.
Levo Evo it's a solution. I think the same
People keep telling me that electric DH bikes still suck uphill. Is that true? Im getting a feeling that's not true.

They’ve not increased the travel, it’s the same as the 2018 model 180mm front and rear
And?
In the review he says the rear travel has been increased, he’s wrong it has stayed the same.

To get up the hill lol
Triple clamp fork?? Where is the third clamp??
thru axle is a clamp
On the axle
The clamping points on the top crown
Fork tube, head tube, fork tube. 3.

Blah Blah Blah, Overly Compressed Audio. No on trail experience review. "Wrong; Do it again!" Pink Floyd...
Motor and battery broken in 800 km, shit bike...
What a let down - vom
Why do you need a motor to go down hill?
So you don't have the be the guy that shuttles
The motor is for getting to the top of your downhill run, silly.
That's not an ebike... That's a stripped down e-moto. Ridiculous.
Not interested....ill rather buy yamaha scrambler....
And go ride it on mtb trails, such a badass idea.
