How to art journal #5 - using watercolour and coloured pencil to create interest & depth

In this week’s art journal, meet the barn owl I saw one evening and note the crocus flowers hinting at spring.
I use a combination of watercolour washes for backgrounds and base colour and coloured pencils for details .
I use a Daler Rowney sketchbook, Sennelier watercolours and a selection of Derwent watercolour pencils.
