I actually discovered this band through your channel because I was a fan of you skillet covers, and they are now one of my favorite bands out there. Idk if you’ll ever see this but you’ve been a big musical inspiration for me over the years so thanks! Keep up the good work 👍
Thanks for the kind words! I was actually hoping to introduce this band to others through my covers, as they are my favorite band. Very cool to see that I've succeeded lol
Stunning cover !! If there was a lesson I wish it could be the one for this song! would it be too difficult to do the "How to play 30 pieces of silver solo" video ? I know this one looks pretty complicated ! there is nothing on internet
Thanks! I usually learn everything by ear, but, if I remember correctly, I think I may have referenced tabs for the solo of this song. I don't remember where I found them though
+steam train ty Monster was actually the first song I ever learned by ear, so yeah I know it lol I use Dragonheart guitar picks. They're pretty thick (and expensive)
+Augustinas Grigas Well sure, I'll give it a shot! I'm a bit inconsistent when it comes to writing solos though, so I can't guarantee that I'll come up with anything lol
What do you think of that EVH guitar? I played one at the store and loved it and hope to get one sometime, but I wasn't looking for guitars at the time (I was trying out pedals), so what do you think of the guitar itself?
+Sam Cuentas I love it, personally. Out of the three guitars I own it's definitely the most comfortable to play. The neck is quite faster than the other two as well. I rarely need to tune it due to the locking nut, and the volume/tone pots are super low friction which allows for easy volume swells. I've been able to get some great tones out of it (I actually don't think my tone is that great in this video though, due to me unknowingly using a broken pair of headphones while mixing, causing me to use a bit more treble than I should have) and the Floyd Rose (a big part of why I bought it) is a blast to use. Only complaints I have would be that the pickup toggle is super loose/jiggly and feels cheap (I played another one at the store and it was exactly the same as mine, so I'm assuming they're all that way), the output jack came loose and needed to be tightened about a week after I got it, and a couple months ago the spot where the whammy bar screws on came loose so I had to tighten that as well. Overall I think it's a great guitar, and I play it every single day.
+Abfhn the GuitarWoomy Thanks! Tuning is Eb. I learned everything by ear except the fast parts of the solo between 4:11 and 4:28. I try not to use tabs ever but I learned this almost two years ago and at the time it was *way* faster than anything else I had learned up to that point so I had to use tabs because I had no idea what was going on lol
nice cover. could you please slow down some of the speedy parts in a tutorial of some kind? from this video, i can figure out most of the stuff by ear until 4:05 in the solo, but then its too fast.
Upload speeds depend on a few things, mainly your internet speed, but also the length and quality of your video, how many devices in your home are using internet, etc. Currently, it takes anywhere between 7 to 30 minutes for me to upload covers, but all of my old videos regularly took anywhere between 90 to 150 minutes to upload, and those weren't even in HD lol
+video test If you mean how long I've been playing, it's been about 12 or 13 years (but I didn't start taking it seriously until about 10 years ago) If you want to know how long I play each day, it varies between 1 to 4 hours
Just checked it out. My Yamaha Pacifica has the same kind of bridge and I've been using the whammy bar on it for over ten years with no problems, but your bridge should not be raised that high. Looks to me like you need to tighten the springs (or even add an extra, if your guitar allows it) The screws shouldn't have anything to do with it, however they are definitely not screwed in as tight as they are on my Yamaha. I'd recommend taking it in to a local music store to get it checked out.
steam train ty They can easily throw your guitar out of tune if you don't know what you're doing but they won't "destroy your guitar" haha This guitar has a locking nut though so I can go crazy with the whammy bar and it'll stay in tune just fine
Kyle Scott from what I've seen it puts stress on the screws and the screws move in the body. But that's on most guitars like mine. BTW I'm making a new channel in December. It will probably be called RIFFS N BEATS. What do think? Oh the beats part is because not only will I play the guitar I'm going to be playing the drums.
+steam train ty The whammy bar just moves the bridge which is attached to springs inside the body. No screws should be moving. Good luck with your channel!
+Alec Villalpando Agreed. Mirror of Souls is actually my favorite song of all time but I love all their other songs as well. Such a great, underrated band.

@@KyleScottMusic are you buddies with Val?
@@KyleScottMusic THEOCRACY is my favorite band too. does anyone know anything about their new album?
And of course, right after I upload this I realize that I missed a few notes during the second half of the solo. Ugh lol
impressive!
Lots of practise went into that, I can see it
Quite a bit, yes lol
Thank you!
Very good! I sub your channel!
Regards from Portugal!
Miguel Sequeira Thanks, I appreciate it!
I always back to your covers bro!!! You are perfect man! 😃
Thank you! Glad you enjoy them!
Dang, dude! This was friggin' awesome! If you messed up any notes like you said, I couldn't tell. Fantastic cover of a fantastic song! Cheers!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing solo Man ;) Great sound and solo as always. You are complete guitarist :)
Thank you very much!
Very good friend .
Thanks!
Aayyyy the EVH Wolfgang Standard is back! BTW that rocked!
steam train ty Thanks!
Fantastic Kyle... I love your Theocracy covers!
Thanks, glad you like them! More to come soon!
Dude, that guitar is sick! And the quality of your videos is so much better!
Hey thanks, Michael!
Very good rendition of that great song. So much fun to play Theocracy on guitar, the riffs are so well composed. Continue your good work man \m/
It's a killer song for sure. One of my favorites to play
Stunning cover !! If there was a lesson I wish it could be the one for this song! would it be too difficult to do the "How to play 30 pieces of silver solo" video ? I know this one looks pretty complicated ! there is nothing on internet
You got it bro 👍👍
Hey dude, love your covers! You are making them yourself, or is there a page where I could find tabs, so even I can try to learn this?
Thanks! I usually learn everything by ear, but, if I remember correctly, I think I may have referenced tabs for the solo of this song. I don't remember where I found them though
Nice chops.
Thanks! 😃
Hey there are new covers!! I like.
Also I love this song's intro O.o
Edit: got to the solo - Holy damn that's good
_ Zarastro _ lol thanks!
well done!
+Simon Schlo Thank you!
Nice!
+Danny Hansen Thanks!
Do you know how to play monster? What picks do you use are they flexible or stiff?
+steam train ty Monster was actually the first song I ever learned by ear, so yeah I know it lol
I use Dragonheart guitar picks. They're pretty thick (and expensive)
Kyle Scott I haven't heard of Dragonheart picks but I like to use thick pics too.
Sick playing bro! Good job!
+Augustinas Grigas Thanks!
I am recently started a new collaboration, would you be intrested in joining? I would need only 29 seconds long solo from you :)
Do you mean an original solo, or for a cover?
Kyle Scott original solo for my backing track, there are 16 guitarists and each of them play 29 seconds solo
+Augustinas Grigas Well sure, I'll give it a shot! I'm a bit inconsistent when it comes to writing solos though, so I can't guarantee that I'll come up with anything lol

Buen nivel...👏👐
Awesome cover dude! Great job covering this masterpiece!
May I ask what tuning you are using in this song? Also do you learn by ear?
+Abfhn the GuitarWoomy Thanks! Tuning is Eb. I learned everything by ear except the fast parts of the solo between 4:11 and 4:28. Kyle Scott Wow that's really impressive! Keep it up! Thanks!
It's perfect )
+video test Thanks!
which tuning are you using ? Amazing cover !!
Thanks! Tuning is Eb
Could you do castaway?
I would like to! Haven't learned it yet though lol
AAYYYY Kyle have you seen skillet live? And you da BOSS!
I have. Twice in 2009 and once in 2011 (almost saw them in like 2006-7 but I ended up getting sick before the concert)
Aw man that stinks. And I wish I had seen them.
Dang...
Josh Graham lol thanks
How do I add music to covers?
I record audio using Jamup Pro/Garageband on the iPad, then I import the audio to my computer and put it over the video using Windows Movie Maker
i use Windows Movie Maker too! I use for stop motion. i will try this thanks man!
Kyle Scott I uploaded a guitar cover of our little horror story. You inspired me to do it. :) and it's not easy. XD
nice cover. could you please slow down some of the speedy parts in a tutorial of some kind? from this video, i can figure out most of the stuff by ear until 4:05 in the solo, but then its too fast.
Could you play skillet saviors of the world?
+steam train ty I'm sure I could but I haven't gotten around to learning it yet
i lost the link to how to play skillet monster. so could you put in the link in the comments?
+steam train ty This one? th-cam.com/video/eoIBaQr0Bo8/w-d-xo.html
Kyle Scott yeah.
holy mother, you know how to play. go on🔥
Please let me know what you think about my new The Script Cover :)
Haha, thanks! Great job on your cover!
Thanks man!
my guitar cover is uploading slowly. Is that normal?

This brother here like some Christian Rock
So is Theocracy secular or Christian? Either way they are awesome.
Definitely Christian. They make it pretty obvious in most of their songs
Kyle Scott awesome.
Kyle Scott I just made a video of why I can't use the wammie bar. Could you check it out. Plus I gave you a shout out. :)
Just checked it out. My Yamaha Pacifica has the same kind of bridge and I've been using the whammy bar on it for over ten years with no problems, but your bridge should not be raised that high. What about some Dream Theater covers?
+Maateusz009 I might in the future. I don't how to play any of their songs at the moment
I found out the wammie bar destroys your guitar. If you want to know how just say. How?
steam train ty They can easily throw your guitar out of tune if you don't know what you're doing but they won't "destroy your guitar" haha

Kyle Scott thanks :D
What amp do you use man?
I actually use an iPad mini running JamUp Pro. The app has multiple amps built in but I almost always use the "Lead 800"
Nice man. U get a great tone out of it P.S. your a great player man keep it up
Thanks, I will!
You play a lot and it's hard to make an original version of a song. You could do the song Drown by Theocracy.
Mirror Of Souls. :v
+Alec Villalpando Planning on it! I already know most of it, I've just got to find the time to sit down and record it haha
Kyle Scott, that could be so awesome, Theocracy has a lot of good songs. :'v
+Alec Villalpando Agreed. Mirror of Souls is actually my favorite song of all time but I love all their other songs as well. Such a great, underrated band.
good style cong. but this bands architecture is so boring....
