It is just heartwarming to know that Ren has one such as you who actually are willing to travel beneath the pain of someone so willing to share it with us.. it may. It be not be ours to individually experience personally but I feel it’s very reciprocal.. as Ren lyrically lightens his emotional and physical burdens, we all collectively take on bits and pieces of it while he helps us to lighten our loads as well.. ♥️🎶♥️
I think that there is a difference between music written about pain in general and that written about personal pain. Anyone can write about pain. There is A LOT of it in the world. But it takes someone incredibly special to write about their OWN pain. For me, it's not about the music. It's about him. Don't get me wrong. I love his music and how he is able to express himself through it. Added to that, his ability to help those who hear it to understand that they are not the only person in the world in the depths of it. But, when I pray every day for him. What I ask for, is for him to be well enough to become the person that HE wants to be. Music or not. People should appreciate his music and where it comes from. Not revelle in the pain that caused him to write it. I would NEVER wish anyone pain. Just so they can write the perfect song about it. THAT is cold, unfeeling and not what humans should EVER feel toward another HUMAN. I hope that makes sense. Thank you for your words and for calling people out for looking at the things from a twisted perspective.

Kirkegaard said exactly the sane that you expressed in the poetic paradox of wanting the beauty that is caused by torment. The urgency of pain and extasy are profound drivers for intensity. But look at NF and his song Happy. I think we need more songs of healing overall, though.
I kinda get what you’re saying at the end. Let me use this occasion to introduce you to a non-established artist I discovered some days ago who in my opinion deserves to get big, for me one of the absoluely most intriguing female voices I've ever heard... she goes by the name of WangOK and is chinese, not only her vocals, but her phrasing and timing and styling are amazing... - actually now as I listen to Molly again (I've heard this one before) I find some similarities in their voices. My favorite versions so far were by Angelina Jordan and Gigi de Lana, but WangOK's one might be my new number one for the hauntingly beautiful harmonies she sings in this one... I dont think people are enjoying that hes been and is in pain and suffered, i think its a feeling of being recognised for their own pain and suffering. his music and words resonate with a lot of people's own lives and that is what a lot are enjoying. i resonate more with the likes of money game etc. a lot of my frustrations revolve around commercialism, the planet etc. i do have my own health issues too, and also recognise myself in the physical pain journey having lyme and autoimmune issues. but you really cant beat his more uplifting songs like love music, power and even murderer. his retake are so clever too
