Ren is an incredibly diverse artist. I have to say that Demos Volume 1 & 2 are some of my favourite stuff that he has done. They almost seem overlooked somehow. Very excited about the prospect of Volume 3 this year (and some more Molly !)
Your point about self destruction being the only thing we can appear to control was very insightful - Ren has talked about that in relation to his sickness, smoking too much (different context)
It is a conclusion i reached after years of engaging in that sort of behaviour and then working on myself and finally seeing it. Ren has an amazing way of putting that in his art. Love it. Take care!

Ren has said before that sometimes he grabs lyrics that come from above him. He said he doesn't take credit for those because they were given to him. His mind is different, his art is different. I'm still trying to figure it out. He added a whole verse from a different song, Blind Eyed. That verse is triple timed on that song.
This is such a hauntingly beautiful song. Vocally Molly McKinna sounds a lot like Billie Eilish ( she’s done some covers) . Her voice is breathy and floats despite the heavy lyrics it’s carrying. And REN… well it’s Ren . Likewise his cadence and flow are a contrast to the lyrics / bars he’s spitting. I hold onto the idea that you don’t find Ren, Ren finds you. Aurora - The Seed (National Geographic Day) is a beautiful one that I seen through Rens yt-playlist. And I still highly, highly recommend you react to Nightwish - "The Poet And The Pendulum" Official live video. It's insanely good, great songwriting, great singing, insane storytelling (he commits s**cide through that song when he went through tough times, doing it via music and not in real life). And it will get you tons of new subscribers that you surely deserve! On another level, Ren plums the depths of the human psyche. Lost opportunities and regrets for the error of our ways when we push away the very things we need. I've always had the feeling this had a lot to do with pushing his girlfriend (Bibi) away when he was so sick. You can see it in his song CRUTCH, it left a terrible void in his life.
