In a world where every *single* ftb item tutorial I’ve watched is by a different channel, THIS tutorial is beyond A+. No time wasting, no inconvenient accent, no awkwardness. Thanks!
Just wanted to say that this is genuinely one of the best tutorials ive seen for IC2. Simple, to the point, but most of all beginner friendly! Thank you dude :D
Great tutorial. I found a java calculator where u can simulate the reactor to your liking. Also i think its just better to use geothermal generators as it generates 20EU/t, im currently using around 100 on my world. Much cheaper and infinite energy.
Can you do a video about liquid cooled reactor? Because I can’t really seem to interact with the reactor access hatch, maybe a glitch. I wonder if it also happens to you?
I've never had any problems with it myself, but I don't think I have played with the liquid reactors in Minecraft 1.12.2. It is something I could definitely do in the future.
Try surrounding one quad cell with 4 Overclocked Heat Vents. Adjacent to the Overclocked Heat Vents add Component Heat Vents. A single quad cell should produce 96 heat per reactor tick and the 4 adjacent Overclocked Heat Vents should be able to dissipate 20 apiece, which would still leave 16 heat to be dissipated. The Component Heat Vents adjacent to the Overclocked Heat Vents should be enough to dissipate the remaining heat.
Put Uranium Ore in a Macerator. That will give you Crushed Uranium. Put the Crushed Uranium into an Ore Washer OR into a Thermal Centrifuge. If you put the Crushed Uranium into a Thermal Centrifuge, you then get Purified Crushed Uranium Ore. Put the Crushed Uranium ore OR Purified Crushed Uranium Ore into a Thermal Centrifuge. That will give you 1 Tiny Pile of Uranium-235 (2 if you used the Ore Washer) and 4 Uranium-238 (5 if you used the Ore Washer). These two isotopes of Uranium are used to make the Enriched Uranium Nuclear Fuel, as 3 Tiny Piles of Uranium-235 are used and 6 Uranium-238 are used to make each fuel. To make it into a fuel rod, put the Enriched Uranium Nuclear Fuel into a Canning Machine (Either Canning Machine as the mod IndustrialCraft2 has two of them) with an Empty Fuel Rod. Voila, you know have a Fuel Rod (Uranium) I highly suggest that you use JEI with this mod. It should be able to tell you all of these recipes in game.
Man, why does this mod make it so incredibly annoying to get tiny piles of uranium? You need it for the fuel rods yet they make you make the thermal centrifuge for absolutely no reason.
I would guess that it is just a sprinkle of realism. In real life you have to send uranium through thermal centrifuges to separate the U-235 from the U-238.
@@minecraftphenom0892 Wow I'm surprised you're still replying. They did the same thing with oil and it just makes using industrial craft way more painful than just using thermal expansion. The only reason to use it is for the armor and cool nano sword.

They lose durability over time, but they can be repaired while they are in the reactor with Reactor Coolant Injectors. WARNING!!! Be very careful with these, as they need Lapis Blocks (for the LZH) and Redstone Blocks (For the RSH) Coolant Injectors. If they run out of the Redstone/Lapis Blocks, the Coolant Injectors will be unable to repair the Condensators inside your reactor, which could end catastrophically. I strongly recommend that you play around in Creative Mode to gain a functional understanding of how they work.
I also have a video (th-cam.com/video/qlsZhzcDf2U/w-d-xo.html) where I actually build a bunch of reactors with the LZH and RSH Condensators. Start at the 15:50 mark for that. Also, I build a safety mechanism near the end of the video for the reactors (to automatically shut off the reactors if I run out of Redstone or Lapis Blocks).
@@minecraftphenom0892 thanks for the quick answer! If i have a reactor coolant injector "fueled" with lapis blocks, there shouldnt be a problem tho and the reactor is safe like that right?
