Originally, the studio was pressing George Lucas to use 70s rock music rather than the Williams score with the original Star Wars film. Guardians of the Galaxy is amazing, because it has layers. And Drax is my favorite character!
The ‘Adam’ reference in the post-credits scene is a hint at another famous character from the comics the director was teasing fans as might be coming in future movies.
The aliens Stan Lee was talking to partway and at the end are other characters from the Marvel universe, the Watchers, a race that is supposed to observe the events across the Marvel multiverse without interfering, including in other universes where events unfold differently.
At 1st, I would watch your channel just occasionally, but now I love your channel and I get so excited when you release a new reaction video. Your channel is awesome. Thanks and keep smiling 🤘🙂
What I love most about your reactions is that you're geeking out just like I did ! Music and all
16:20 You can't always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you might find, you get what you need.
Mary: "Of all movies, I didn't think Guardians of the Galaxy was gonna make me cry." : )
This is your best reaction ever especially when you do your let’s goooo when groot is running away from the bomb he just set
I saw this in the theater with my daughter. That was one of the best movie days ever!
I like that u, as a young person. Love the music. That means that Rock and roll, never dies.
Mary is Groot in the intro!!! I love it!
Loved your reaction!!! Thanks, as always!
She kept talking about how sad and emotional it was...I kept saying not yet...not yet. I gotta say though Kraglin's yeah when the Ravager funeral happens is what gets me. Especially after they said it would never happen for him.
Great reaction !!! You are impressing the hell out of me !!! Your knowledge of older music is awesome and the fact that you knew Father and Son just blew me away. I mean, I would expect the big hits but, even though Cat Stevens was awesome and had a large following huge at 1 time, he didn't really have a lot of chart toppers. However, anyone that hears that song, remembers it ... am I right ??? Anyway, thanx for spending your time with us 😘🥰😍🌹
Originally, the studio was pressing George Lucas to use 70s rock music rather than the Williams score with the original Star Wars film. Just about every fan, upon hearing that, was like "That would've sucked!" And while I wouldn't change anything, it has to be said that Guardians proves that it can work.
amazing reaction! 🤠 this was a movie about family and the ability to set ego aside to recognize who that reality is imo, can't wait until vol. 3 💫
Great reaction video! Thank you!
Mary, Mr. Blue Sky is one of my favorites as well!
Films om te zien:
Apocalypse Now
Das Boot
Blade Runner
Akira
Ghost in the Shell (1995 dub)
Empire of the Sun
Kung Fu Hustle
12 Angry Men
The Sweet Smell of Success
Margin Call
27:10 - That's (presumably) a reference to Adam Warlock, who in the comics was a major factor in the war(s) against Thanos, though it looks like he'll have a different role here.
I appreciate this one more as time goes by. I love your reaction.
Since this was releases James Gunn was both fired by Disney and then hired again for Guardians 3. You missed a lot ;)
Another great one on a big-ass Imax screen..
There's also an upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special" that Gunn wants people to watch before they see Guardians 3.
@@zarquondam actually didn't know that, thanks :)
James Gunn also has an upcoming movie in the DC extended universe that promises to have a somewhat similar vibe to Guardians. But there's a lot of DC you need to watch first.
@@zarquondam Not really. It's completely separate. There may be some references, but from Gunn's mouth himself, it's its own thing.
Edit: Like most of DC's stuff, honestly.
@@zarquondam it’s already out actually. The Suicide Squad, right?
What a wonderful reaction! This is my first time watching your channel, but I look forward to watching a lot more of your content! 🤩
that was my favorite stan appearance.
I think Mantis is the most gorgeous lady in the entire MCU.
Scarlett witch and black widow ? 🙄
Drax and Mantis are my favorite part of the movie. Drax is always great, but the sheer brutality toward Mantis, and also every time she touches him and laughs when he's laughing cruelly at somebody else, they just steal the whole movie together.
Such a great movie. One of my favorite MCU movies
Mary: "The moment you find out who your father is, he turns out to be a monster and murdered your mother."
Star Wars: [enters the chat]
Hello, Mary) i just wanted to say that i found your channel when you were reacting to "Hunger games" and just fell in love with your vibe. Your channel is like a comfort zone for me, it is very exciting for me to see your emotions because marvel movies are my favourite movies. Can't wait for you to see "Infinity war" and "Endgame", love you)))
James Gunn picked the soundtrack
He also did 2010's Super. It stars a guy from the office and Elliot page
Best line: "I'm Mary Poppins y'all!"
I have to say Mary....I'm impressed with your taste in music :)
Loved this reaction!
Dana says- Should you watch 'Mary Poppins'? HECK YEAH! LOL Especially if you've never seen it before. Just make sure it's the original with Julie Andrews. Also, 'While You Were Sleeping' is a fun one.
If you ever come into contact with a dairy queen, get the chicken fried steak sandwich and a blizzard of your choice. Middle Americana for your face.
Great reaction I've seen this film and the original film so many times I know the script I'm saying the lines as I'm watching them.
I am crying again...and happy at the same time.
As always, a lovely reaction Mary!
22:45 what a bear 😹
I was constantly trying to figure out where you were from, then you said "eikes" and i was like oh so a fellow Belgian then ahahah, took me so long to figure it out I should have known HAHA
Love your videos Mary. I’ve binge watched them and now Im looking forward to seeing you work through MCU and GOT. I’d love to see you react to The Princess Bride and Hot Fuzz
Princess Bride reaction is already on the channel! :D
@@MovieswithMary even as I was typing it I was wondering if I had seen it already. Inconceivable!!!
@@Punslinger1005 I do not mean to pry, but you don’t by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?
I live for Mary snorkel laugh each reaction 😂 😂
Love these videos. Keep up the great work. Really looking forward to the marvel journey. Hope one day you do goofy 80s horror movies like killer klowns from outer space or critters.
Can't wait until you eventually get around to Volume 3. It's amazing.
Loved this reaction, as usual, Mary. :)
Drax:she was like you. mantis:ugly?drax:inocent
Hope for more "STAR TREK" reactions!
I wouldn't be surprised if the reactions/ comments she got turned her off the series.
