The wagon man was at JimBoast Dodge for years in Bradenton. Bradenton was my hometown and it was there for years.

Florida had a lot of air bases during WW2. My dad was training to be a Navy pilot in South Florida during WW2. I will have to visit that museum. I really enjoy your back road videos! I am looking forward to when the channel reaches a 100k!

Very nice video Jay! I lived in Z-hills from 2000 to 2009 in an old haunted house on the North East corner of 16th st and 2nd ave(my avatar is an actual photo of the ghost taken in 2005). The Wagon Ho pioneer used to be in the median at the entrance of that community. Rural King was Kmart back then, lots of nostalgia and I miss living there. Thanks for the great video!

Hey Jay, my hubby grew up in Zephyrhills and your video made him homesick! LOL That theater used to be called Home theater and that's where he watched all the movies of his childhood! Thanks for another fun video Jay :) Mikesell's Chips is from my area in Dayton OH. The 113-year-old business closed down last year. They sold their rights and IP to Conn's Potato Chips? We will see if they maintain the same taste I have enjoyed since I was a kid :) I imagine that is the problem with the supply chain, but I don't really know :)
Funny, I live down in the Southshore area of Riverview, just east of the 301. Jason’s right, there are a lot of new neighborhoods and families moving into the area. Florida’s not all just retirees! Tons of young families are down here in the Tampa Bay Area too.

Jay, I lived in Zephryhills until I was around 12 or 13 and I remember going to that old movie theatre with my mom and grandma before she passed away. I saw Freddy’s Dead in 3D on opening weekend at that theatre! Thank you so much for the video, it really brought back all kinds of memories.

There’s a wagon wheel guy in port Richey, Florida on top of a liquor store, used to be a wagon restaurant then a flea market now a liquor store.

Really miss when the Car Auction place was also a venue for concerts, and had many 98. Rock festivals held there. Livestock I think it was called. Sad now that I live so close now they stopped doing shows there.
Our generation probably eats the most pizza. I blame TMNT lol 😂 that tot pizza sounds good. And that flag box was really cool. Wish there was one of those in my area.

I'm 58 years old and I remember Wagon Ho which I believe was on Florida Ave just North of Busch Blvd across from Burger King. We ate there once when I must have been around 5 years old. I had some kind of sandwich with lots of sesame seeds on the bun and I didn't like it because of that.
You should have filmed inside Rural King, curious to see what it looks like inside. Great video.

Mike Sells potato chips were from Dayton Ohio, and they went out of business after over a 100 years last year. I'm from Troy Ohio, and now live in Sun City Center Florida. Mike Sells were the very best potato chips someone could buy

I live in Zephyrhills,they're having a one year moratorium on housing construction within the City Limits because the water infrastructure needs to catch up with the growth in that area.The Rural King there was a former K-Marr.
Fun fact about that train that used to sit at llowry park zoo in tampa that tra8n has been around

It’s been years since I’ve seen a menu in that type of clear plastic fake leather binder thing, that place looked so cool, the Pizza looked great.

I remember " Wagon Ho "
These seated statues are 15 feet tall and Wagon Ho! called them “Wagon Masters”. The Pioneer’s hand positions suggest that the statue held reins or a whip but he never did. You asked if he had a name.
My cousin used to live in Richland and took me there and Little Ninja Thai. He still calls the place Zephyrpills lol.

So Picolas pretty good, I have gotten pizza and a calzone before, but I actually like Sergios better… It’s just up from Piccola’s just a little bit closer to Morris Bridge.
