In my own northern working class town that is in the top third of most deprived towns, it is lovely and tidy. We regularly have litter picking events where a group of volunteers go litter picking. Just because people are working class and live in a more urban environment is no excuse to live like pigs. So in my own town you will see plenty of terraced houses originally built for industrial workers yet we have the pride not to let the litter get out of control. That's something we tackle ourselves as a community.

So your in the ghetto 😳 if they start issuing summonses to the home owners a lot of that would change ..Here in New York summonses are issued and a crew is sent out to clean , so they charge the owner for the people and equipment used to get it cleaned up..
If they can prove who dumped the rubbish yes they get fined but council has to go through that rubbish to get evidence if no evidence like name and address then there nothing they can do how many fridge freezers or mattresses will have the owner's name and address on it

It starts with one resident and the building factors or Landlords being too shit scared to speak to them. They built beautiful waterfront flats in Edinburgh, absolutely lovely place to stay, they have a bin area where you take your rubbish down and tip it in a dumpster, 1 year later the rubbish is tumbling out the door, and there's mattresses and sofa's in the gardens. Is it the Residents or the Refuse Collectors at fault? Your problem needs the Residents of the street to care , and get together of a weekend, and shovel all that into a pick up! You did right reporting on it! Now you need Community Group to lobby the MP for that area and investigate the cause. Here we are recycling and washing and sorting all our plastic and I heard reports from someone at the recycling centre that it's all going into landfill coz they ain't got the staff!

Awesome thanks for the support! It's craziness, next video covers Birmingham City as a whole so you'll see the difference depending on postcode. Pretty stark. Thanks for watching and the comment. I hope you enjoy the rest of the content!
@@JoefishJ You bet mate
In my own northern working class town that is in the top third of most deprived towns, it is lovely and tidy. We regularly have litter picking events where a group of volunteers go litter picking.
Just because people are working class and live in a more urban environment is no excuse to live like pigs.
So in my own town you will see plenty of terraced houses originally built for industrial workers yet we have the pride not to let the litter get out of control. That's something we tackle ourselves as a community.
Would be good to see this 👍 we also do litter picks on our local beach back home. Great when a community takes pride
What you think people think of the English when they see this overseas
You'll see in next video I met a lovely American couple via Backpacker Ben and they were SHOCKED at what we showed them. We ended up dropping them in the Cotswolds (one of the best areas of England) as we felt guilty. Thanks for watching and the comment
Not the English doing I though.
The world can't understand why Britian has weak leaders with no borders and no laws....
I was last in the UK in 2019....and will never return.
As an Aussie, immigration is an issue here too. I've had fights with Indians putting dirty nappies in recycle bins because they are 10 meters closer to their door.
Fight or flight...

Before I clicked on the video, I genuinely said to myself "I bet it's Birmingham". You import the 3rd world, you become the 3rd world.
Hello Joe, new subscriber to your channel. I am a retired disabled garbageman living in Northern California. I love the UK different parts. I watch a lot of TH-cam about the UK Blackpool East Anglia all that stuff really like your videos. I have a few to catch up on. Thank you for your hard work my friend, I will continue to catch up on your videos and again thank you peace and God bless🙏💯🇺🇸
I seen cleaner places in Egypt, Tunisia etc, and some of the Caribbean.
Likewise really shocked me! Thanks for watching and the comment
I don't imagine this place has always been like this. What's the history? Did some industry disappear?
Next video covers the history of Birmingham city as a whole and I visit other neighbourhoods both good and bad. Thanks for watching and the comment
It's more to do with the people than industry.😔
The whole of UK is like that when you're out of the way from council or government buildings
Nonsense...
No it isn't lol.
Im sorry I don't agree, that was like nothing I've ever seen. Honestly it was a health hazard just walking around the area.
Excuse the pun but that's rubbish
@@JoefishJ You're right of course, it was a completely ridiculous comment.
I've mentioned this before on your channel, but I live abroad, but have a couple of homes in the UK, in beautiful (well kept) areas, with nice people that look after where they live.
In fact, when deciding where to buy my homes in the UK, I was spoilt for choice of nice areas.
I'm afraid people like @paulmajer, watch videos, and just assume that they are indicative of everywhere in the country. I don't know if this is out of ignorance, bad education, or simply never leaving their own area.
I have got no room to talk I was bought up on Castle Vale in the 80
But now I live in Chester
Birmingham City council should be disgusted with theirselves
Bart handsworth has always been a bit of a bad area
It's not the council's fault, they didn't dump the shit... It's the immigrants who have done this
I lived in Handsworth between 200-2008. It never looked like this then. It was clean on these streets. If there was any mess, it was never as bad as this. Sorry to see what it's become😢.
Shocking!! Never actually knew it existed! How far is this from the city centre?
About 3 miles
What the hell is going on out there. Don’t they issue summonses !! So your in the ghetto 😳 if they start issuing summonses to the home owners a lot of that would change ..Here in New York summonses are issued and a crew is sent out to clean , so they charge the owner for the people and equipment used to get it cleaned up..
Who knows.... It's just left to rot! Sad scenes. Thanks for watching and the comment 🙏
If they can prove who dumped the rubbish yes they get fined but council has to go through that rubbish to get evidence if no evidence like name and address then there nothing they can do how many fridge freezers or mattresses will have the owner's name and address on it
Set up hidden cameras?
I work all over the UK checking roads, paths & alleyways/Ginnels. I worked in the Birmingham Handsworth area 2 years ago I could not believe my eyes when I witnessed the absolute carnage and waste all over the place, it's an absolute shit hole of a place. I took many photo's and sent them to head office. Check out Broughton area Salford, Peel Green Salford & Hare Hills Leeds. You will get the picture when you see the people who live in these areas.
I would blame the residence and the council for all that shit 💩
I've been working all over Birmingham for years and the rubbish is the same all over the city.
I'm a roofer and it's not just on the streets it's piled up in the back gardens I've had to leave the repairs on the roof cuz I can't get the ladder up.
Honestly I was shocked! Couldn't believe it. Thanks for watching and the comment 👍
Another great video mate! Big up!
Much appreciated! Thank you 🙏
When I was a kid, sanitation was paid for by taxes. Now they still take those taxes, and at the same time force broke people to sign up to expensive bin contracts.
Stark difference to another neighborhood we visited in Bham that you'll see in an upcoming video. I guess it depends on your postcode whether waste disposal visits your area? Who knows...
Needs a good scrub down let alone the rubbish. The pavements look filthy like so many areas of the UK.
Honestly never seen anything like it! Thanks for watching
Let's play a game of 'what's the local demographics'
Germans
You should send these vids to the MP or something. Highlighting it could actually end up getting it sorted out. Especially when its you and Ben. They aint gonna like that publicity
Hopefully something changes and it's brought to their attention, I love this country and the people it's truly sad to see.
This is done purposely.
This is what happens when the council are bankrupt and owe
£3 billion .
Crazy isn't it... However very different to a different area of Birmingham that we visited that was very nice. You'll see the difference on the next video. Thanks for the comment and for watching
Exactly!
The council's fault? Surely it's the people who live there?
What the hell has it got to do with the council??? Dirty, disgusting, irresponsible people are to blame for this... #takeitthedump
All the cars in the streets and no one bothers to take a trip to the recycle dump.. no one else to blame but the disgusting residents...
No, this is what happens when you import the third world
Used to be a really nice area, Sadly destroyed by mass immigration and unscrupulous landlords renting rooms out as supported housing so they can claim enhanced housing benefit, then filling them with people with lots of issues including drug and alcohol addiction from hostels, then they just leave them to turn the properties into crack houses. I worked in homelessness in Birmingham but had to get out in 2016 becuase I didn't agree with it. Its heart breaking
Hmmm... There is a shop/business that does ' removals ' on the corner of Bacchus Road and Nineveh Road - there is loads of the same sort of junk ' for sale ' outside it, I wonder if they have anything to do with it !!!!!
Who knows! Thanks for watching and the comment
The people who dumped the rubbish in the first place are the ones responsible ..
Why would you do it? I just don't understand how it's ok to do that?
🎉🎉🎉 Thank you JoeFish for sharing another great video with us. Nice reporting. Blessings,Carlos ✝️🙏❤️😊🇺🇸
Thanks Carlos 🙏👍 All the best to you.
And yet the council will force you to take down a British flag painting on a wall outside a chip shop and not clean up this mess!
Get the jobless to do it!
Get the people who dumped there shit to clean it why should someone else clean up someone's dumped rubbish because they can't be arsed to dispose properly they like to bring and live in a shithouse

What a surprise Birmingham 🇬🇧
Shocking scenes. Thanks for watching and the comment
A certain class of people live like this, it costs the council a fortune to tidy up after them. They have no respect for themselves or their families.
You have to blame the people living on the street too, as well as the council.
The sheer amount of crap they throw on the street (I live not far ) the council cannot keep up with it. Just a losing battle

@JoefishJ You're welcome and keep uploading videos like these, I know one thing there's certainly nothing "Great" about Great Britain anymore . Sadly.
What's the demographic?
Handsworth area of Birmingham. I'm not sure but it was shocking.
The Asian ethnic group constitutes 60% of the total population. The next largest ethnic minority group is Black (22%), followed by the White population (12%) and then Mixed / other ethnic group (3% each)

There is no excuse for the black bins, they should be collected by the council.
The rest of the crap is a disgrace.

Just had a look along that road on ‘street view’, it was recorded 9 months ago.
Although there were a few piles of cr@p, after seeing your footage I don’t reckon there’s been a rubbish collection since.
Definitely hasn't! Some of it literally looked like it had been there a decade! Thanks for watching and the comment
First of all the residents in my village would never let this happen here ! so who is doing this there ? and secondly what the hell are the Council playing at ? I'm totally ashamed of how my country has sunken but lots of us know exactly why !! 😮
It rally shocked me as well. Thanks for watching and the comment 🙏
Firstly what are people playing at not the council they didn't dump the rubbish it's the people
@@kaylee458 in a lot of European countries that rubbish would be gone immediately ! and I can assure you nobody where I live would dare dump shit like that without recourse from other villagers !
You would think the local people would sort this out . I wouldn't have this outside my home
Absolutely shocking! Thanks for watching and the comment 👍
O my gawd! What the Hell! Where's the pride of the residents?! Surely they can do SOMETHING to help themselves. Of course, they won't, then they'll blame the government when their children get very sick. Who the hell, or should I say WHAT the hell people live there? I just googled why it's like that, and of COURSE, the residents blame lack of leadership. Like raising their children to be respectful and well-behaved is somehow the governments fault. We have cities like that here, they go down HARD, then, when those people who let this happen finally lose EVERYTHING, other people go in, buy their houses CHEAP, fix them up and revitalize it. It's not the governments fault, people. Get off your asses!

Birmingham - what does this tell you about the locals
Birmingham city council is bankrupt apparently. Just drive a mile out and you will see some of the best looking areas, houses with decent people and neighborhoods. every city has its problem areas, click baiting and getting the sheeples in a uproar is not a good thing.
Showing the reality of our country isn't important? Maybe I should show the nice suburbs like you suggested and pretend this isn't the reality for the people. Not everyone lives in a fancy house and area.
What a state. It’s hard to believe we are the third richest country on the planet. The local authority should be ashamed of themselves, no other words for it

14 years of austerity. Bankrupt councils over England. And after a while people lose hope. Why wold you bother when no one else does. If there is a really high drug problem, you wouldn't even try to get people together to clear it up. Not if there's a chance of needles. You need to take care, please, when you're in areas like this.
