Just a thought to help with clean up with the clippers, one night my husband offered to help me with cleaning up the salon set up that we put in the garage. I was surprised and exhausted, so I said do you know how? He kind of chuckled and got out the wet dry vac that he had just bought for me to use in the garage. He attached the soft brush attachment and vacuumed EVERYTHING! EVEN the inside of the clippers after you pop off your blade, the shears, table, floor! All I had to do was oil the clippers and shears, and polish the grooming table- you know the fun stuff! It made my week ! He has done this for me ever since. Even an old vacuum that you want to dedicate to the garage works perfectly!
I hope this helps someone. By the way I have a chronic pain issue so I cannot use the vacuum attachment to my clippers, just in case you are wondering 🤪!

Amy, thank you so much for telling us about the Joyzze ceramic coated blades. They stay cooler so much longer. All my other blades were getting hot in just a matter of a few short minutes, even at the clipper's lower speed. I just groomed Squirt with the Joyzze blades and got so much more done before the blade got to a point where I wanted to stop to let the blade cool a little. I'm buying more of the Joyzze blades for my commonly used blades. The others will be stored away to use only 'in case of emergency.' Joyzze has my vote!

I have the Andis AGC, and it's older, but works fine for me. I wanted the Wahl KM whichever at the time but it didnt fit my budget.
Use what you have and upgrade later when you have the money. 🙌

I am so thankful that you post these videos!! I wasn’t able to make the live meeting because I’m a track coach and track hadn’t ended yet, so thank you!!!! I do have a question… with clippers like the Flash and the Raptor, do you only charge them when needed or after each use? They both have the nice stands to store them which also charge them and I wondered if you keep those stands plugged in or only when it’s needed?
Those clippers are absolutely fine to sit on the stand plugged in. After they are charged, they go into a standby mode on the charger.

Which clipper would be good for a beginner home groomer to do the paw pads and sani area? Is it the Joyzee Hornet or Kenchi flash 5? Confused if it better to just get the mini dog trimmer for only paw pads…
Both produce the same results. The Hornet comes with guard combs for body trimming too.
I have a 2lb full-grown Yorkie, and he has fine silky hair. I don't need a power house clippers, but I would like to one day learn how to groom him in Asian Fusion style hair cuts and prefer light weight and Quieter clippers. Gaurd attachment is a must that said what clippers would you recommend? Love all your videos ❤

Amy, great video. One question, why the heck did they call detachable clippers 'A', confuses me to no end. Add on 'adjustable' to the 5in1,4in1 , just can't understand the logic.

A5 = detachable blade clipper
5 in 1= adjustable blade clipper. 5in1 means 5 blade lengths in 1 blade.

Amy, my 5 in 1 blade Wahl Bravura, catches the hair and it gets all globbed up quickly. The hair gets stuck in the blade and then won’t cut. What is causing this?

I have a 9lb full coat shih tzu and only want to use the clipper for sanitation and paw pad clipping. Which would be the best to use the joyzze hornet or the kenchi flash or the shermboa.
Both are great and produce the same results.

How long do a5 clipper blades stay sharp?
Depends on if you trim before bathing and how many dogs you groom. Clean and oil is essential. Those things prolong the life of your blade.
Will the cordless wahl KM last a full groom with a large dog with a complex coat like an Old English Sheep dog? Or, would the corded version be a better option overall/ in the long term.
Owning an OES is on my bucket list- I am just learning what I can at the moment! I don’t know when I will be able to afford it… or convince my husband that we should own one! One day though:)
In the mean time, I would love to see you groom an OES from start to finish. There is so little online about OES as they are not such a popular breed anymore due to high coat care demands. I think you could bring so much to the OES world as someone who can help a potential OES owner manage the task of coat care without coming from the show ring / breeders’ perspective.
Both the km10 and km cordless are my top choices in dog grooming clippers.
I would love to groom an old English sheepdog. Just haven’t got my hands on one for video. Hoping to though🙏

Be careful about what you wish for, all the OES in my area, sure they want the full coat, now every single one clipped down short, sad actually, parents said 'oh, we know how to take care of them'🤦♀️
