I have never had a poodle. I have no plans of ever having a poodle. I am not even really fond of poodles. But for some reason this was oddly interesting and I enjoyed every minute of it.

What a great video! I wish I’d had such a thing when I was showing poodles many years ago. At that time I had to figure it out by myself! Try stuff and see how it worked.
I went back-and-forth about spelling it into sections but I knew so when he would appreciate it all in one. Literally shares so much amazing information that anyone in the breed would find it beyond helpful!

Great video! You explained several points that help me. Question: What do you mean by "chunkers?" You are referring to a type of scissors you use to shorten the jacket part of his coat.

This is beautiful. I have a Standard Poodle pet boy and I’ve been keeping him in a German cut but....it’s tempting to see what it would be like to stick him in a modified continental just for funzies.

If you’re in Florida, reaching out to Arvind Debrangca (Passport Dachshunds) for some wire breeders might help. He breeds smooths but has produced some wires and must know some wire breeders out there!

I just bought an adult SPOO girl, and I love the continental, but don't like the saddle patch. I intend to keep her in this clip, minus the saddle patch. No I don't plan to show her. No it's not technically correct. But, she's my dog, and it's what I like.

Hi Poodle Parlour, Jason here, see the origin of the "poodle update" is printed in "LaMoulere Monthly" Rd:10 1912AD simply because poodles were popular in France and owners needed to identify their poodle all were clipped in Paris at 425 Peacolel St, Ogeimai Paris East, see aehy know Poodle Owners Australia don't want mongrels however you see it in humans from "mixed background" the concept of reproduction invites desperation/anxiety however in dogs an excellent hunting dog the "solo chuto" as the French say...

I would love my toy poodle to have that, but groomers say they will give my dog the cut they want my dog to have. Which is just a shave. I don't think so. I adore the continental on a poodle

Hi Poodle Parlour, Jason again, see aehy said in previous comment true blue poodle owners don't cross-breed an easy way to keep your pups homogeneous is make sure there's viable option basically the dogs can pair off same breed same age, if you've watched "The Twilight Zone" ep18 "(beauty is in) The eye of the beholder" 1960's where a Hospital does what Geneticists avoid mating among those with damaged DNA that relates to dogs in that captive breeding will take 2 years of isolation between a male and female dog however the female dog will hang it's head maybe some type of depression.
how come show poodles nails are so short
The more nail trims the dog gets the more the quick starts to recede so that helps to keep short nails, also genetics, some dogs will have shortest quicks and usually show dogs come from a well breed dog that will keep these qualities.
I prefer the continental cut... don't like the change. At all.
2 hrs and only half the dog 😂 they did a dabulois job and im sure if they weren't explaining everything they could have probably had the whole dog done

Poodles are a naturally lean dog. This one is at a safe weight. He could just use a little more muscle tone.
