PLEASE do make a video on the non-glamorous side of preparing for digital nomad work (i.e, visas, Canadian laws for living/working abroad, tax situations, etc)!!! I’m from Toronto and you’re living my dream life. However I’m so comfortable with my 9-5 I’m scared to lose everything I worked so hard for here at home. And the perks of being Canadian are so valuable (hello healthcare) it really is something to think long and hard about. I see way too many videos with vloggers working by the beach, but there are not enough reality check videos to show how they got there and the other shit they had to go through. this video just inspired me to follow my dreams, I used to do surfing photography but at the moment I am stuck in Finland for a few years now, in a boring job, seeing this video just makes me remember that life is much more than cold people and close society , I need the sun, I need to be in places where people talk to strangers and gives u a smiles for nothing

Would be cool to hear about Visas! And tips like Transferwise one. Another ideas: How to spot your base/next long term destination? What to consider, how to get real info? How long do you plan ahead your travels? Do you buy tickets, accommodation early like 4-6 month previous or just couple weeks before traveling to another place? How do you deal with stress if there are no new contracts and money starts to begin questionable? Should you have savings? For how many weeks/month? Can you recommend an insurance company? Where do you buy electronics (laptop, lens, camera), do you have a favorite country for that? Do you get insurance also for your equipment? So many topics, there could be some useful and cool videos 😉

Tip for you... bottle of water under your motorbike seat to pour over your seat before you sit down. Rub it around a bit, makes a HUGE difference. And/or a towel or extra shirt over your seat when you're parked. AAAND, if you're gonna be there a while, get a mesh seat cover. Keeps it cooler, makes it softer, and let's air flow through when you're riding. Even keeps it much less wet when rained on, the water just goes through it. I'm a 6 year "digital nomad" myself, based in Phuket, formerly Chiang Mai. Look me up if you're in Phuket again. I'm mainly an Amazon FBA seller, with a few other projects too. james dean I’m doing it as a software engineer /with a computer science degree with a company which should give you plenty but the jobs he questioned and freelance work isn’t as stable , idk why People live like that under freelance work but that’s just me a little risky but definitely doable

I wouldn't call myself a digital nomad but from my experience, employers are saving money by eliminating the office and allowing staff to work out of their Chromebooks.

We were starting our digital nomad journey this month and had to stop and we have to go back home in the US because of Covid-19. We want to continue after this crisis. We definitely love Bali and Bangkok.

We have gone through extended visa stay procedures in Costa Rica, Panama, Curacao, Aruba, as we have lived in each of these locations for 6 months. Also experienced extended stays in Mexico and Belize. We are happy to give you what we learned in our experiences, if you think it may help your video production. P.s. we are currently in Bali and will be here off and on for the next 4 months.

I've lived in Bali since 1986 /33 years, am now an Indonesian citizen. That's the only reason I mention it. People in the west misunderstand bcuz they see these guys having work done on a house and automatically think they BOUGHT a house.
Co-working spaces make the life of a digital nomad so easy. If I hadn't started working in co-working spaces, I wouldn't have stayed in Bali for 8 months. The co-working spaces you showed are really the best in Canggu.🌴❤

@@drfunkmaster You either get Visas or visa on arrival and when the visa is over you do leave the country and come back. Depending on the country, you can only do that a few times per year. So you don't actually live in one place but instead change places all the time. In Indonesia, it's usually not a problem to do visa runs.
Depending on which country you're from, you can qualify for a visa on arrival. However, it's only good for 30 days and you should be prepared to show proof of return travel (not a one-way flight). There are ways to extend for another 30 days but many people leave for a "visa run" to another country and then come back later. But overall, due to the visa restrictions, Bali is a better short-term destination imo
Love how you are transparent and keep it real at the end of this video. I've been in this game for 3 years and spent more 12 hour days and sleepless nights wondering if I'm going to make payroll this month than most sane people would put up with. At the end of the day it's the price to pay for a next level of freedom, keep on keeping it real! I've been living in Canggu for the past year escaping the Vancouver rain, definitely a good spot to hang out!
Went to Bali over the summer and really enjoyed it. We actually went to that coffee shop at 3:06. Props too for talking about the negatives of being a digital nomad. Nobody ever seem to want to talk about the downsides of things.

My advice to vloggers, start in the Philippines and make reaction videos. Make sure to feed our ego. Foreigner validation will be rewarded with loyal Pinoy fans.

I started my journey towards this years ago. I wanted to be a TH-camr and do travel videos like Christian. Or at least that was one of the things i wanted. I learned how to make videos and edit, use social media in smart ways and got overall business knowledge. Now i'm moving to Bali the 6th of January and i'm not even doing videos, but digital marketing haha. You don't know where the journey will take you but i promise you that it is worth it! We have gone through extended visa stay procedures in Costa Rica, Panama, Curacao, Aruba, as we have lived in each of these locations for 6 months. Also experienced extended stays in Mexico and Belize. We are happy to give you what we learned in our experiences, if you think it may help your video production. P.s. we are currently in Bali and will be here off and on for the next 4 months.

I've lived in Bali since 1986 /33 years, am now an Indonesian citizen. That's the only reason I mention it. People in the west misunderstand bcuz they see these guys having work done on a house and automatically think they BOUGHT a house.
Co-working spaces make the life of a digital nomad so easy. If I hadn't started working in co-working spaces, I wouldn't have stayed in Bali for 8 months. The co-working spaces you showed are really the best in Canggu.🌴❤

@@drfunkmaster You either get Visas or visa on arrival and when the visa is over you do leave the country and come back. Depending on the country, you can only do that a few times per year. So you don't actually live in one place but instead change places all the time. In Indonesia, it's usually not a problem to do visa runs.

Depending on which country you're from, you can qualify for a visa on arrival. However, it's only good for 30 days and you should be prepared to show proof of return travel (not a one-way flight). There are ways to extend for another 30 days but many people leave for a "visa run" to another country and then come back later. But overall, due to the visa restrictions, Bali is a better short-term destination imo
Love how you are transparent and keep it real at the end of this video. I've been in this game for 3 years and spent more 12 hour days and sleepless nights wondering if I'm going to make payroll this month than most sane people would put up with. At the end of the day it's the price to pay for a next level of freedom, keep on keeping it real!

Went to Bali over the summer and really enjoyed it. We actually went to that coffee shop at 3:06. Props too for talking about the negatives of being a digital nomad. Nobody ever seem to want to talk about the downsides of things.

Great info man! My dream right now is to shoot a bunch of videos in Taiwan, then fly somewhere like Bali, Vietnam or Philippines to do all the editing. Rinse and repeat. The dream is coming closer.... Can't wait for your house tour!
My advice to vloggers, start in the Philippines and make reaction videos. Make sure to feed our ego. Foreigner validation will be rewarded with loyal Pinoy fans.

I started my journey towards this years ago. I wanted to be a TH-camr and do travel videos like Christian. Or at least that was one of the things i wanted. I learned how to make videos and edit, use social media in smart ways and got overall business knowledge. Now i'm moving to Bali the 6th of January and i'm not even doing videos, but digital marketing haha. You don't know where the journey will take you but i promise you that it is worth it! See you in Bali 2020!
