I know it's been a while since u've posted this (I only got to know your channel now), but a good strat for chapters 10 and 11 is to not use a rocket on verdugo and rather use it on the gigantes. That will save u a lot a ammo for pesanta and hopefully u could make it to the island
I did this on Hardcore with the mod installed and that U3 fight was my breaking point.

Props to you for even attempting this on such a crazy difficulty mod and for making it as far as you did in 1 sitting. I've enjoyed playing this game a lot during the past couple months but I can't see myself speedrunning it in any way, it feels like I just can't bring myself to that mindset. Doesn't help that I suck at shooters in general, I'm only just passable after my first playthrough and dozens of hours total playtime.

Actually, it's the sound that starts playing at 6:20 which I was referring to, like it speeds up rapidly and slows down abruptly as well but I dunno what to call it.
I'm realising now that I might have hyper-focused on that particular bit, thinking I recognised the theme, when it might have just sounded similar and was just part of a bigger whole.
OHHH my fault, yeah that one’s the pokemon oras terrakion battle music haha, i do have some mario galaxy music on my pc though 🤔
@@mayafrags If you're curious, the track I'm thinking of plays during levels where Mario has to roll a ball bigger than himself all the way to the end while still being on it. The music adjusts itself to how fast you're going which is why it evoked feelings of a wacky speedrun in me.
Also, those were with wii motion controls.

I started Berserker at Leon must die and seeing you suffering from standard difficulty is so funny but hey you were doing a speedrun so it's probably justified.
i reckon i could give it a good proper playthrough on leon must die if i spend some time with it rather than speedrunning
@@mayafrags yea exploring the game and reading every file is important aswell cuz they tell you what you can get and where you can get them aswell, like weapons .. you don't need to spend Ptas on them and actually get almost all the weapons by just exploring & upgrade the weapons with ptas that you saved. Even tho I played it on leon must die I didn't die as often cuz I did prepare for every chapter.. it was alot of fun
I think the reason why the Verdugo died with 3 magnum shots is because you got really lucky and all 3 of those shots were critical hits. Or at least 2, but there’s no other was it could have happened. Unless the game bugged out and forgot Verdugo’s actual heslth for some reason.
I'm surprised you didn't cut your loses on Verdugo and just saved the Rocket and health for the next chapter.
Before you killed it I was starting to think it was invincible on this mod, and I'm watching the short version :3
Also, don't know if the Remake have the same difficult system from the original, but if it has that explain the Verdugo dying after a couple attempts with less shots.

The reason you may have killed Del Lago so fast is because of difficulty adjustment or DA. There are/used to be techs that speedrunners use to shorten the fight by manipulating the game via gameplay. Either to make it very low or zero.
The only thing I can think of is you may have accidentally done something similar without even realising it 😂
you would think with a mod that makes the game harder that this wouldn’t be possible though right? 😭
Damn I could have sworn the reason Del Lago was so easy is because the mod maker hates that boss fight, so he made it really easy on purpose

@@joshwilson9602 It's literally just easier on every difficulty because it's a boring boss fight that the modder doesn't find fun or a challenge. Berserker isn't just hard to be hard. It's hard in a way that makes it fun. Something impossible to do with the Del Lago except for making it quicker.
that was me when I was playing the strategy game Fire Emblem Awakening. On Lunatic Classic (I didn't have Lunatic+ Unlocked) and despite me relatively blind to the game, I suffered massively with that game to the point I actually quit the entire game. It was some friends of mine who sort of pushed that difficulty on me and it was too much for me. A mod like this would be impossible for me.... I'd have to do it on the easiest difficulty because anything higher than standard would be impossible for me. It's a cool mod to see other people play, but not doing it yourself.

it’s not haha, it’s just my potato pc 🥲 there’s some stuff you can do to achieve this if you have a NVIDIA graphics card but i can’t remember exactly how. i did it a long time ago and have reinstalled the game since then but it stuck for some reason. someone in the resident evil 4 speed running discord told me how to do it last year so maybe have a look there!

But i think this mode was intentionally made so no one can speedrun it with ease.
There are alot of areas that you have to go through which are insanely hard and also not quite skipable.
Seems like a run you could do much better with on a second attempt now that you know what's coming... At least you could prepare a bit more for the part you got stuck so you'd have more resources... Still, good attempt

I am not seeing anything harder than Resident Evil 4 base game and Mercenaries in this mod. Maybe that is because this is normal mode you are playing.
idk if it would work, but maybe try your luck at running from verdugo next time and save your rocket launcher money for U3

If I can focus on taking the smaller enemies out at the verdugo fight I can probably spend the rest of the time at the elevator collecting resources, so you're probably right

RE game are not "easy" if you llok for s+ proffesional on your own. At least it was harder for me to go thru that than all from software games.

ok, now i'm gonna go speedrun Berserker on LEON MUST DIE, and i will post it when i'm done...... and by the way: Berserker is NOT a difficulty mod... Berserker is a GAMEPLAY mod.. RE4R vanilla difficulty is the default DIFFICULTY of the Berserker mod... Nightmare, Inferno, Hell as No More, Befalling of Night are examples of difficulty mods
