The first one I played as a solo in the school concert at senior school. I am relearning it at the moment having taken the flute up again a few months ago 30 odd years later! Nice thing these days is you can find the accompaniment online to play along to and not have to rely on the teacher playing the piano for you occasionally.
That's awesome you're returning to your flute after a long break! Many of the students inside The Flute Academy are returning players after a long break. You'd fit right in! Here's the link in case you're interested! 😊 www.flute.school/academy
1. Intermezzo from Bizet's Carmen 2. Gypsy dance from Bizet's Carmen 3. Polovtsian Dance from Borodin's Prince Igor 4. Tamino's Aria from Mozart's Magic Flute
I will not comment on the first and second ones as they are too easy for me so I wanna give others a chance - I know the whole opera by heart. :) Is the second to last something by Aram Khachaturian? Gayane (but that is a ballet so I guess it is something else by him)?
That's awesome you know that opera off by heart! 😮 The last two were Polovtsian Dance from Borodin's Prince Igor and Tamino's Aria from Mozart's Magic Flute. 😊
@@JaneFluteSchool maybe there was a language barrier involved from my side, I mean I can sing along whole Carmen, definitely not play it. At least I was correct with the eastern direction of my guess... thank you, i will have to listen to it, it is wonderful music full of sorrowful longing that toucbes my heart deeply.
