I recently finished 99% of my Juke Mod's and finally got her Dyno Tuned and Because of the CVT, I went with a Modest 125 lb's of torque gained and another 100 HP.. The car flies but once I hit like 90 the power falls off a cliff, If I had a stick I would go with a big turbo set up and swap out the clutch and go all out.. People are hitting 385 WHP 400ish on stock internals.. A few guy's are changing the cams and adding stronger springs and revving them out to 8500RPM's, their revving to 7800 stock as is.. These guy's are building custom manifolds to bolt these turbo's up to, too get to that kinda power out of a 1.6L.. But it's worth doing it, if you can pick up a manual Juke for like 4000 in good condition, and for another 4000 you got a 385 HP Crossover Hatch, that's crazy fast between 10 miles an hr and 80/90.. My car is funny because it, like to get from 20 to 80 real fast but after that the power goes away, For me I think it's a CVT thing..
I finally got her Tuned, Found a guy through, Prime Motors in North Jersey. They are mostly all about Subaru's. So freaking happy tho, We gained 120lb's of Torque to the wheels.. And over 80 Pony's too.. I had her tuned on an AWD Mustang Dyno which I was told that it reads lower than other mustang DYNO's, But we still did 212 WHP and 222 Torque, when I add on the 16% to get dyno Jet results it's like 246 HP , and then 16% to the torque number's and you got your dyno Jet Number's.. Anyway the car does feel like she's putting down 240/250 to the wheels, I can tell just by how she feels.. These cars are fun and also weird.. It's like they are meant to get from 10 to 80 fast as hell and that's it.. It just feels like, as soon as you get over 80/90 miles an hr. The power just falls off a cliff.. I have a CVT/Sucks and I'm still on a stock turbo, But to me the stock turbo could be turned up enough to break the CVT, so I never really saw a reason to go with a bigger turbo set up.. But I have been thinking about going with a Turbobay Turbo with bigger internals, I hear they do actually make more power and help with Top end power.. Even if I only get like a 5% to 10% power increase from it, I think it will be worth it, especially if it helps me up top with power.. Cause these cars already have a shyt ton of torque down low, for taking off, which is way more Noticeable with the MT's/Sticks.. It's a weird power band..

Old I know but did you ever build your Nismo Sentra at all? I ask because I just saw a B17 Nismo with what I would call FBO/tune absolutely dog a FBO/tune VQ powered B15 (The B17 has an intake, cat less DP, exhaust, aftermarket IC and Rad, some kind of radius entry work done to the TB/intake manifold inlet, fuel system work though I do not know the extent, and a tune from a known but I’m hesitant to say reputable shop in our area. The B15 has a 3.5 DE swap, 3.5” intake w/ V stack, SSIM, longtubes, cat less J pipe to 3” straight pipe exhaust, clutch/FW kit and tuned on UpRev.) The NA VQ B15 I built still pulls on both of those cars though 😎
I added up all the parts you mentioned along with the tune and it came out to $3500 shipped to me or about $25 per TQ gain. I guess that is a decent price for those gain numbers
Been tuning my 2018 Sentra Nismo here in Calgary on a Hub Dyno here at mod_proper, and it's been challenging. It's the 7 Speed CVT, not the manual, so just by that you know it's going to be a pain in the ass. Pulls in 4th get about 3500rpm then has trouble going higher; my guy has hit 180 whp and 160wtq on a successful run. The car had a CAI, blow off upgrade and axle back. We are using ECUTek's suite, and trying to go off THEIR juke's boost tables; been proving quite a challenge Now have the midpipe, catback and hard intercooler piping installed, and waiting on the FMIC to arrive. Hopefully we can get some significant gains with it in Stage 3. I heard you mention in another video that on the stock internals and turbo the CVT Sentra can only get to like 240hp (wheel or crank?) and that's about it? Either way, it's been quite an experience

How does the drivetrain on the stock Juke handle that kind of torque. What I’m getting at is can you actually launch these cars or will you just destroy half shafts and whatnot? If the rest of the car could handle it that little thing would be fun as hell with 330+ awtq.

Hey Joe, I have a question, would the b16 spec v piston, rods and crankshaft fit on a 2009 Altima coupe ?? I know they have the same engine only difference is the b16 has a higher comp. And the Altima is 9.5:1??
You "explained" everything but "tuning". This is more of a promo video than a "tuning explanation". I could understand if you don't wanna share your tuning knowledge but be honest and give a more truthful title. Also the torque gain is not +97 if you look at it realistically. You only have that at the beginning of the curve and that's not at all good. You see the manufacturer deliberately allows the boost to come in slow because those tiny rods can't handle that much torque on low rpm. If it was a bigger engine it would be ok. Anyway, it your call. I'm just pissed off because I watched 12 minutes of this "tuning explained" and didn't find any tuning info whatsoever

@@kennethpowers8995 I didn't. Had a few bolt ons that didn't do much for power. Ended up trading it in. Have a bolt on, cammed c6 vette now
