In Canada, Walmart sells Liviva organic Shirataki noodles with oat fiber, 400g pouch for $3.97. Yes, same funky smell, but just rinse it under cold water, drain well, then heat in a non-stick skillet on high for a few minutes to 'dry' them out. This helps your sauces stick better, and the noodles absorb the flavors well too. I use them in everything, but do NOT put them in a soup you plan to freeze (add before serving), as it changes the texture...lesson I learned the hard way, lol. I've tried many brands over the years, but these are my favorite. Macros : 100g serving is 15 cals/ 4 carbs/ 3 fiber= 1 net carb. Love you two!❤
😂"I breathe in 5 calories." I've these in my cabinet and when the spaghetti desire hits this is my go to noodles. Haven't made any of the recipes on your channel yet but greatly appreciate you ladies being our guinea pig. Thank you❤
I cook with this with Asian soups and mushrooms seasoning, bokchoy and sliced pork or chicken. So happy to see you sisters trying this out . Soups boils all smells away
Oh, this looks great, you lovelies! I always miss stir fry with noodles on keto. A couple years ago, I tried those noodles and never wanted them again. I'll give it another go with your method, thank you! 🥰🍜
I rinse mine in a plastic collander and let them drain. Then I put the whole collander inserted into a large bowl into my microwave. I nuke them for 90 seconds and they come out dry with all of the water in the bowl that’s underneath the collander..
i love ur guys videos so much they are so helpful for my journey!! You are so strong and u cherish all of our lives we will always support you Sarah and Emily
I had the Fettuccine-version for dinner with onions, ground beef, 400ml beef stock seasoned with salt and pepper - delicious! 😋😋😋 *I rinsed the noodles under cold water to get rid of the smell!* I also like the "Rice"-version and in my pantry I have also the "Spaghetti"-version!! 😊 Your dish looks also very yummy 😋😋😋 - it's now on my to-do list 😁😇😊!! ☀️☀️☀️ greetings from Germany, Ela 🤗
The "ready to eat" Miracle Noodle does not seem to have any odor at all. It does cost a bit more per serving but to me it's worth it. I just rinse and drain well then use them.
I’ve seen it at Whole Foods, Amazon and Thrive Market ( which I think they advertise on this channel including a great discount). Yes there’s a membership fee but I always save way more than the fee.
You two are such troopers❣️. I was so sorry to hear about your dad but I know he passed well and you two are a tribute to him💕 Love this recipe, thanks❣️❣️
Our Japanese daughter in law has been sending us Jonjakou noodles for some time. Yes, drying them does wonders. I love them as noodles or as “rice”. They taste great.
Costco also carries a bag of frozen red shrimp from Argentina. They really do taste like lobster. 10 mins in the air fryer is a pretty common lunch for me 😋
Those are the best shrimp and the size is just perfect. Costcos are smaller but the flavor is awesome for both. They are raw but the pink color makes you think they are cooked until you open them. I keep them in my freezer always. This recipe looks so good. Thanks for a great video again 👋👍😋
Perfect I’ve been craving shrimp. I watched your update video recently and I’m sending both of you bigs bear hugs. You two have been through a lot the last few years. I love your videos !
Love you two and your content! You’ve encouraged me to use my Thrive membership that I’ve not used! On the personal side, thanks for sharing about the loss of your beautiful father. Life changes when we lose a parent. And please ignore the haters. Those who support you are MUCH LOUDER!❤
This was great idea for low carb low calories meal! You got my subscription! Well done research and looking forward to another one. Like you said to Alex “I give you credit when it’s due !” And you definitely deserve it! I also like angel cake idea and I’m making every another day!
I've been making this for a while now, almost exactly as you've shown! I also find it better to mix the xantham gum with dry ingredients for a better blend. This recipe also is so much better the next day reheated. I've also been know to grate a little parm on top. Yum! Love your channel.
Hi, love your channel! Sending much love and light to you guys, I saw your other channel where you talked about what you've been going through. Ignore the haters in the comments! 💗 And on a shirataki-note; I've only ever tried to rinse them properly and then boiling them, then throwing them into a Bolognese or some other sauce, but I will try to dry-fry them and see if there's a different, because I never had that fishy taste after boiling them. Thank you for your videos! 🤩
Great JOB! I can't eat "keto" and loose weight. I have to eat low carb and watch the fat content (I have lost 25 lbs since the new year) So THANK YOU!!!! It seems every keto or low carb recipe is HIGH in calories and fat. I, too, am dirty keto. Your Dad would be very proud of the video.
Looks delicious but I'm so jealous that you each have a low carb buddy for sharing! Thanks for the tips on the noodles: I love the idea of getting a little more (volume) bang for my buck sometimes and will use your basic recipe to come up with a single meal + leftovers.
So I tried this method for cooking the noodles tonight and omg.... game changer and adding a bit of Xanthan gum to the sauce too. This solved my problem of having a soupy stir fry at the end. I would love if you guys did a live. That would be awesome.
That looks AMAZING!! I cannot wait to make it this week. I have sczechuan pepper and thai basil. As for the miracle noodles, I found the "miracle noodle" brand on Amazon that I love and is far less stinky compared to what we have had in the past. They also have different types of noodles and 'rice'. AND, I have not tried them yet but they have some that are already flavored with various sauces like Thai Peanut, etc. Maybe that could be another video - trying their various versions?
That looks absolutely scrumptious, but I do carnivore since I found out I’m sensitive to a lot of things. But it’s always fun watching your videos, and mentally “tasting” what you prepare. 😊
I’m doing it! I bought this type of noodle when they first came out and was so afraid of the taste i opened one bag and couldn’t do it. BUT knowing Emily’s dislike of strong smells…I am convinced! I am going to buy them. I want to make a low carb peanut sauce 🤤 😊Love you ladies! 💋💋
@@deniselovesglitter I’ve not made it yet but I have been looking on line to see if there is an easy recipe. I don’t know if Sarah and Emily have a recipe or not 🤔
I made this last night for supper except with chicken. I added mushrooms too. OMGosh Soooooooooo good 😋 Thank you girls for yet another successful taste test ❤
Well, I will definitely give shirataki noodles another try. That looks delicious. I tried them once before but was put off by that fishiness even with rinsing them, and probably by the texture too since I didn’t know to dry them out. So thank you for putting this together… I’ll definitely be doing the vinegar rinse and then trying the recipe. And a new Trader Joe’s just opened right near me! Shrimp! Must be a sign…:)
Thanks for reminding me about these noodles. I have been using the Immi noodles most often. Because of this video I tried it again and remember how good it was. I used shrimp with snow peas, mushrooms and red pepper. Will now add this to my noodle rotation.
I think the smell is actually the brine they are packaged in. Rinsing thoroughly and using your method sounds like a great idea! One question: how is the texture? I remember it being somewhat rubbery; does the pre-cooking eliminate that?
I’ve seen these noodles at my at a couple of my natural foods stores, but never tried them . Thanks for the Ontario 🇨🇦tip that these noodles are available in Walmart. Will be going there tomorrow for groceries, so will look for these noodles. Great ideas for rinsing, the vinegar and dry cooking. It clearly makes a big difference. Your recipe sounds great…definitely going to try. If I manage 15 c for a meal that’s a good thing 👍👍
I use the linguini version of these noodles to make a "just like take out" beef and pepper stirfry xanthamgum is the best thickener to get the glossy texture of the sauce.
Yummmm! I'm definitely trying this! Could you pretty please do a keto strawberry shortcake? It's starting to be strawberry season, and I would love something sweet and seasonal! 🍓💖
I wanted to leave a comment to first send condolences for all that you have both been through, and also to say a big thank you for your brightness and fun. Ignore the finger pointing people, and just be your awesome selves.
I have used shirataki noodles for many years. I always rinsed them well but didn't bother to cook them dry before adding other ingredients. Thanks for the video. I will try it this way.
Another great video. I have fallen in love with It's Skinny brand and Miracle Noodles. A good rinse under really hot water followed by the dry cook method is more than enough to get rid of any off-putting flavors, and the noodles will soak up any flavor once you cook them in your sauce for a few minutes. It's Skinny noodles have a more appealing color because there is oat fiber in the recipe, so anyone turned off by the neon white color of Miracle Noodles will probably like them more. And maybe it's just me, but I get a hint of wheat-like flavor from them as well.

Thanks for the information for Canada!
Thank you sharing for us in Canada 🇨🇦 I find it so hard to find low-carb ingredients to sustain my life style. Do you find Egglife tortilla in Canada?
I am in Canada thank you for the info now if Walmart would just get the frozen chicken the keto twins used for orange chicken we would be in business
My Walmart in the east of Canada has it as "Out of Stock". I'll keep checking, thanks!
Yes, often out of stock. Healthy planet used to sell them too@@colleensmith1545

Great! I love your videos, they saved my keto because the super strict keto is hard to live with forever.
Where do you get this brand? Thanks❤
I’ve seen it at Whole Foods, Amazon and Thrive Market ( which I think they advertise on this channel including a great discount). Yes there’s a membership fee but I always save way more than the fee.
That looks amazing! I will definitely whip this up.
Looks so good. I've been craving stir fry lately, Thanks!
I watch Twin Talk and when they get irritated with each other one yells "Twin Fight!". You made me think of that when asking for more shrimp.
😂😂
That looks really good!

love those trader joe shrimp. i melt butter, add shrimp sprinkle with cajun spice. then add more butter and a little heavy cream. delicious

This looks yummo 😋, and easy to throw together. 😊 Thanks you ladies for another great recipe. 🥰💕💕
I use those noodles in all forms. I don't do well with regular pasta or rice d/t a gastric bypass i had 18yrs ago. I like them.
I've been making this for a while now, almost exactly as you've shown! I also find it better to mix the xantham gum with dry ingredients for a better blend. This recipe also is so much better the next day reheated. I've also been know to grate a little parm on top. Yum! Love your channel.

Thank you for testing a shirataki noodle recipe. Ive tried them before and not been impressed but now I’m willing to try them again
Looks good!! I just bought the langostino tails from Trader Joe's yesterday. They are really tasty too.

Looks delicious. I have found just rinsing the noodles real well removes the smell, but I think I will try to fix it this way.
😂😂 I LOVE your channel. You remind me of my sister and I. I don't like sea food at all, but that sure did look delicious 😋
looks good I just bought some Konica noodles today!!
Love your videos and BOTH of your ladies hair😊 great recipe and love this recipe. Please do more with this type of noodle! New subscriber here ❤❤❤

Yum!! Recipe looks wonderful!! They need to be soaked in a bowl with water and acid! For 10-20 minutes…drain, stir fry..
I think the smell is actually the brine they are packaged in. Rinsing thoroughly and using your method sounds like a great idea! One question: how is the texture? I remember it being somewhat rubbery; does the pre-cooking eliminate that?
My wife disliked them because of the texture as well. Also wonder if this trick helps with that
Ok...you've convinced me to go out for peppers and shrimp after work. I have everything else!
I love those Argentina pink shrimp. I buy them at Costco. This looks amazing.

The dry fry works very well, even without the vinegar. The flavor absorbtion is the total beauty of those noodles. Thrive Market is great btw.
That looks AMAZING! Used to eat shirataki noodles all the time, but got away from it. Now I waaaaaant them baaaaaack...

Mt Olive makes sugar free bread and butter pickles. They are good!
It looks delicious.
I also squeeze the water out and then take paper towel and squeez the heck out of them. Saves so much time trying to cook the water out of them
I hear it. It sounds...
...moist. 😳
I got some of the egg white protein noodles. They are pretty good as well. I LOVE Thrive, especially for frozen foods.
