Director Ben Makinen ("JazzTown", "Who Killed Jazz") shares this outtake with Tanya Darby - Chair of the Brass Department at the Berklee College of Music.
Tanya speaks of her long time friendship with jazz trumpet legend Jon Faddis and relates how one of his most important lessons took years to sink in and be appreciated.
Makinen interviewed lead trumpet player Darby for his upcoming film on women in jazz and the obstacles they face in a male dominated industry.

So are we able to view the "Women in Jazz" yet? I never realized how complicated playing the trumpet was. My Father and Ron Miles made it look easy! This is going to be a great documentary!
