    Love the AE92 coupe. Toyota was indeed in its peak years. Amazing it has had a single owner for 31 years in this town. So it's been through at least 4 historic blizzards, including a whopping 28" in January 2006.

    I bought an NX for $800 in 2010 because I was so ridiculously obsessed with the T Tops, and the digital dash. It was like nightrider driving that thing around. Australia considered it the most unsafe car at the time. I transported a Christmas tree the one year using the driver seat and open top. I had it shipped to Cali then drove it back across country to Philly. It died in 2012 with something like 300,000 miles. I STILL miss this thing and hope that Nissan can bring something like it back. Can't seem to find them second hand anymore.

    I've owned many Nissans, including a couple of 280Zs, but the only one I still miss to this day was the weird little 85 Pulsar NX. That thing had some weird charm about it that was indescribable. Such a tiny, hard-lined, little go-kart with pop up headlights. It didn't put out much power but it didn't need to. It weighed so little. I love the sports cars that I've owned but it's the bizarre little grocery getter car that I miss the most. Wish Nissan would make the NX cars again.

  • @jpslaym0936

    They added LSD with NX2000 plus has removable roof panels in form of T-tops. One interesting thing about the NX SR20 is that it has titanium connecting rods which tells you Nissan was serious about making power. In 1991 when Motor Trend magazine did the first road test of NX, it went through the slalom either the fastest ever tested to that point, or a tie with Porsche 944 turbo. Great handling car that could hit 132 mph on top end , and felt it being so low to the ground!

  • @Gou_

    I had a 1991 Sentra SE-R, basically the prettier but less special cousin to the NX2000. Absolutely love that thing. Light as hell, and the SR20DE sings all the way to 7500rpm! With some milds mods i was getting around 175hp, which is a lot considering the car weights like 2200lbs. I still miss that car to this day. The NX2000 is basically the same car with slightly better brakes. They are great autoX machines back in the days.

    In the UK we had that Nissan coupé but was called the 100 NX. It had a 1.6 litre carburettor engine. One of the last carburettor engined cars to be sold in the UK as everything else went to fuel injection due to European Union emissions regulations.
    That Toyota AE92 looks extremely cool. We didn't get those.

  • @ardonjr
    @ardonjr 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    How cool is this! My first AND my second car both were Nissan 100NX (as it is called in the Netherlands)
    I became super fast in removing the roof panels.. I stuffed them behind the driver seat because my trunk was stuffed with audio (2 subwoofers and 3 amplifiers, which were more expensive than the car haha)
    Really miss those cars on sunny days..

    How does this dude have this job? He's probably the least charismatic person I've ever seen on youtube.
    Secondly cabrioLETS were sold in the us until 93 not 92. Explorers are shit and you mention that before passing by a 3rd gen 4runner without a word...
    Also I never comment, came here for this.

    Hehe you might think you are a nerd but I noted that was about the third different type of bumper on a MK 1 Golf ;), btw I learnt to drive in a 525e it was like driving a diesel but you put petrol in it.
