Honestly with as often as Creed steals money and other things with no guilt whatsoever, giving some back to Michael is quite generous of Creed when it sounds like Michael needs it

@@peacebewu One of the main issues with DM is how much money they waste on luxuries for Corporate (offices far bigger and more luxurious than necessary, limousines, expensive hotels) so I'm sure David is quite overpaid.
Crumpling the dollar and putting it back in his pocket kills me every time
They were actually going to have him cut up the dollar bill, but they learned you can't do that because it's defacing currency, so they changed it to crumpling it up and pocketing it and it's even funnier. And it fits the situation so well because given his financial hole, Michael is not throwing away any money.
@@mst3KGf that's because it's actually illegal to deface anything with a President's picture on it, image of the realm. Also technically a postage stamp with George Washington's face on it would be legal tender, a bus driver would have to accept that

Yeah, I always cringe when Darryl does things like that. I think it was in the women's suit episode too, he just exposed Micheal to lots of people and though MIchael is childish, he never was rude or mean to him to deserve it...

having 100 kids so he can have 100 friends is kinda like taking on a parental role (tuition) for kids resulting in them celebrating him.

@@Funky-Channel not quite. according to the facts, most americans today are "severely rent burdened", an economic term that means they work full time and still spend 30-50% of that on housing, which puts them at a dangerous risk of homelessness and makes it a really tight struggle to cover all the essentials. america has a massive wealth gap (more massive, even, than france in 1789, and we all know what that led to) so a really very tiny percentage of americans are rich enough to afford what you say.

Yes, money has been a little bit tight lately. But, at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I going to be thinking about much money I have? No. I'm going to be thinking about, how many friends I have. And my children. And my comedy albums. I mean, I have a yacht so I obviously did pretty well money wise. This part is missing😂

I really like how money never came first for Micheal. He thought about his friends and others first. This is why he probably faced money problems also weird magic stuff. But in all honesty, if the son of deposed king of nigeria e-mails you. You help them!!

That scene with Darrell was exactly how I felt at my job being there for 10 years. Found out how much they were hiring completely green mechanics with no experience for way more than I did at the time. Absolutely furious.
That's why they tell you don't talk about pay at work at so many places.
ALWAYS talk pay with coworkers you're comfortable with. Many many companies will intentionally under pay whoever they can.
that is why you ask for promotions, I didn't get one but I earn more that my coworkers now, next year I am out if I don't get the promotion though

I mean, yeah he is a funny character. But he is by far the easiest to write. Basically you just give him any nonsense lines that don‘t fit any other character. The fact that you don‘t need to care for any conitnuity with him makes it so much easier to write than Jim or Pam.

This kind of reminds me of once when I told one of my subordinates my wage and she was shocked at how underpaid I was. Companies really don’t make it worth it to get promoted within.
External hires at my company make so much more but ive been here 4 years and still make less than they do. But their stock options are really garbage and mine are full stocks. Which are very high value most of the time

I actually know people in my company who haven't asked for a raise in 10 plus years. It's so weird it's just never occurred to them to ask. They still get like 3% a year for inflation but a real raise is like 8%
Asking for a raise is a weird culture that doesn't make much obvious sense. It's like tipping.

@@worldprincess5531 His "price" was jobs for the staff, not a monetary sum. (And the highest buyout price David Wallace offered him was only $60,000.)
He probably started raking in dough once Sabre bought out Dunder Mifflin, along with his character maturing a bit in Seasons 5 and 6.
Michael had debt, but I believe that Oscar found a way to help him out
@@Joe_Parmesan and people say Oscar hated Michael but I don't think thats the case. Oscar was always extremely helpful and supportive of Michael, even helped him get out of debt when it wasnt even part of his job to. Sure Oscar looked down on Michael but he definitely didn't hate him.
