      Man seriously I skated for a year when I was 15 and now I’m 28 and been skating again for two months and I’m 10x better now than I ever was then. And I think it’s cause of TH-cam and videos like asta’s

    Man you explain this stuff so well. Love front crooks but I can’t hold them very well, I can’t wait to try again. I’d love to see tutorials for some of the really tough shit, like 180 sw crooks or fake fs crook.

    Its funny how we all have tricks we struggle on, for me front noseslides are my favourite and my most consistent grind 😂 the smith advice has helped me a ton ❤

      So true. Most tutorials on tricks don't go much further than "well you put your foot in this position and then you just ollie into it...". Really refreshing to hear tom explain those tricks.

    I loved what you said about smith grinds. Some of my homies learned smiths on ledges first and I couldn’t find that secret to take it from rails to ledges. Im definitely trying this next time at the park!!

    Great explanations Tom… I wonder how better a skateboarder I would of been with TH-cam when I was skating in the 90’s
    Ie… I would try k girnds out front for ages till I worked it out eventually by accident to be on top of grinds… totally agree with fakie tails compared to fs nose slide… just a better setup. 😊😊😊

    The only thing I like to hold for long periods of time is my best friend Nyjah. Though my arms get tired because I haven't been working out as much lately. Jah has the best arms I've ever seen and can hold me for what feels like forever but I mean come on. It's Jah! He's got gold medal strength and don't even get me started on his slides. He always slides into my DM's with the best memes. Jah is so silly. We are just friend's though. Great video!

    Great vid as always! Nollie nose slides are 💯 easier then a regular frontside nose slide. Nollies just go that way easier as well. Then if you got nollie heel flips on lock it’s not hard to learn how to nollie heal flip nose slide. It was impressive you nose slid that far! You got everything on lock bro lol

    fs crooked is very tricky for me. I feel like nollie into it is a lot easier cuz your front foot is ready in the position. Love your videos.

    I always just gave it a little push. Like nose grind id push my front down and forward a little more than for a manual but i think balance was the same as a nose manual. Crooks same. Feeble or smith push my front foot into the side of the rail

    That first beat for first set of tricks went pretty hard haha. I hope one day to see or film you skate live. Footage is one thing but it never does the justice. I remember my homie in Philly prolly 15 years ago tellin me you have no idea what its like to see pros live. He was talkin about seeing Wenning and Kalis and many more but those 2 were like super casual at the spot compared to people flying in and shit like that .

    I was just wondering if you had a tip for the kick flip into the front crook. Like how you should angle it or any tricks to it.
    Side note, definitely one of my favorite TH-cam channels, been subscribed since maybe ur 3rd video. Long time fan before that and I feel like your paving ur way and this is going to turn into one of ur most fruitful endeavors.

      Chris Wimer gave me this tip, and it helped me learn them. Approach at an angle, and just kickflip. No need to turn the kickflip backside at all, that makes it go into a fs noseslide a lot of the time. Approach at an angle and do a kickflip onto the fs krook. small tip, but helped me learn it quickly.

    Hey Tom, I know you say you aren’t as good with transition, but could you do a video like this on your tips for holding grinds or slides on transition, I don’t understand if you supposed to keep your weight in the ramp or on top of the coping with transition tricks

    Hey Tom, just found your channel and working through your content. If you haven’t talked about this subject, it would be interesting to know where you’re supposed to “look” for certain tricks from flat ground, to ledges, off stairs/drops, etc.
    I felt like for the longest time some tricks I would do felt like I wasn’t directly looking at my feet or board but just in front of me. Would love to hear your perspective on this 🤙🏼

    Super good trick tips. Hopefully you can create a trick tip for bs tail slide big spin out. Done that before however right now its been killing me to land it again, specifically the big spin out. Not sure whats wrong. Need your help! Hehe. Thank you in advance!

      i like that trick a lot would like to make a lil tip on that! as for now, trying it off the end of a ledge is way easier that trying to do it in the middle of the ledge..also make sure you are going at a decent speed so that when you bigspin out you clear the end of the ledge so you dont hit the ledge while big spinning !

    Front crook info. When I put my front foot like that and try to Ollie on to the ledge, the board leaves my foot every time. I guess I can't control my Ollie from every point. I do it best with my heel hang about and inch and half off. BTW thanks man on the info. Very motivated to try some of these ledge tricks.

    always tell myself if i wanna come out of a front nose to regular to make sure i'm looking over my shoulder like a front board. but a lot of times i don't look the nose into the ledge first so i end up missing short if that makes sense
