The simple but elegance of the horse and the egg….I can’t imagine the feeling one would get while working on such a project. It’s large scale would be daunting, yet so satisfying when the final coats of paint are applied. Never apologize for the rambling of the voiceover narration. You do such a fine job of explaining the process, and keep the puns down to a minimum.(actually I quite enjoy the puns!) I always enjoy seeing all your projects. I have recently worked with foam using a small hot wire, and it has changed my creativity! This is due to watching your channel and seeing what can be done in foam! Thanks so much for sharing!
You guys did really good getting musculature reference pics! I've seen soooo many artists foul up their product because they didn't understand the underlying skeletal and muscular structure of their subject! Jelly legs, floating eyes, shrimpy legs and pin heads are some of the most bothersome things I've seen, but even weird muscle tone can irritate a person. I'm always yelling at the TV when they animate a bird flying backwards. The motion should be similar to swimming, and for some reason, people keep animating what birds do to slow down as they land, like that'll make the bird go faster in normal flight! Very nice pieces. You guys do excellent work! Very professional.
Brilliant, at first I couldn't understand why you would show everyone so much in your videos, Now I know, Your craftsmen in the game and a very hard act to follow,
"Amadigi" is a magical opera, and this performance is likely rife with the surreal; and themed in black and orange, is my understanding. You all do terrific work. Thanks for all the fun and informative vids. Cheers, Jim from Seattle
It would be nice to see a video showing what all your outstanding artist/workers have been doing during the pandemic when there was so little work at the studio.
We made a video a couple of months ago, showing Sean's wand making project during lockdown. The rest of the video would comprise mostly of Tesco delivery driving, gaming, and generally staying at home 😂
Stunning. Never in my life saw such a masterpiece. How long and how many people worked on it? My client who is a a big shot in movie industry is really impressed :) He has a beautiful Arabic horse and is a big horse lover.
Hey Rawman, thank you very much for the kind comments. Aden created the master carving, and then 3 other members of our team glass fibre coated, resin flowcoated, and worked up the surface finish, with Aden top gloss coating and buffing to what you see as the end result. The entire process, along with other projects happening simultaneously in the studio, took approximately 2 - 3 months. Your friend is also very welcome to commission something, should he feel inclined to do so!
@@StefanSte I think the meaning is that the prop is so well done that it could stand alone in an art exhibit with no other purpose and still have plenty of artistic value. A prop is an extension of a piece of art, but most props lose their meaning and much of their artistic value when viewed on their own and without movement. I mean, no one looks twice at a believable reproduction of an old tube TV set or appreciates the time it takes to make fake fruit look like the real thing. And yet, as set dressing, it now has meaning and gives the characters something to interact with or at least adds to the realism that this really is someone's lived-in home.
Did you guys apply several layers of a concrete render or was it a car body filler and gel coat on the horse to get rid of the fiber texture. It turned out amazing! Glad you guys are getting some work.

Hey thank you very much for the question. I mean, if you're looking for a quick fix to achieve this level of finish, unfortunately we have to disappoint, and tell you that there isn't one... There was a lot of work involved. We used flow coats of resin, car body fillers, and sanding the entire surface again and again and again, until we achieved a car body finish. We then go over with car body gloss paints, and even this is then buffed up and polished, to achieve the result you see at the end.
Are you all, (especially Aden) blase as to what becomes of your spectacular creations after their use by date? I hope these props get re-used or passed on to another needy production/event etc. I've had work 'junked' and it smarts, I can tell you. And you seem to get a double whammy what with all the creativity AND THEN all the graft to finish the projects. (multiple resprays of the egg, on the whim of the client?, I ask you!)
Another great project and video. Silly question time- since the egg was always going to be mounted on the platform, why was the access hatch not on the bottom? not a big enough area or just did not think of it?
Good question! But the client wanted as little of the egg touching the floor as possible, which meant the floor hole was far too small to get in and work comfortably. If the hole was made big enough for someone to get inside, it would have meant much more of the base of the egg cut off than the client wanted
I come from Indonesia, and I also like fine arts, especially Styrofoam carving, I would be very happy if I could join your team, and participate in every sculpture made from Styrofoam

I’ve bought sheets of styrofoam from both Lowe’s and Home Depot. Use standard elmers glue to glue them together, put some weight overnight and then cut/carve like normal.
Can you make hundreds of Sculpture all are same size and same design and same color nothing any difference and all are use for outdoor and unbreakable and also mirror image same sculpture Thnq

The horse is so majestic and the egg 🥚 just as unique and perfect

These videos are well put together.
Thank you very much indeed Mark. I've let Sean know!
Belíssima obra de arte 👏 👍 👏 👍 👏 👍 👏
The egg looks cool, but I love the horse! 🐴
Super job
That horse is not a prop, it’s art.
I agree 100% with you. I would love have one like this but unfortunalely i've no space ( and money 😁) for a piece like this
Thank you very much Rachel 😘 appreciate it, ladies
Why should a prop not be art? Being a Prop is just an objects job description.
Maybe for a roadside fair ride.

Let's hope it comes our way!
super work
WONDERFUL!
What is the alternative to insulating paper or are there specific ratios for hardeners and cobalt so as not to corrode the foam body?
AMAZING! I'm wondering what is the grey layer that was applied on top of the glass fiber/resin?
Belíssimo trabalho, gostaria muito que houvesse legenda em português 👏🥰🤗
Magnifcate! Wish i had one just as Beautiful!💕💯🐎
Hey Debi, we actually have it back from the people that we made it for... it's very much for sale 😉

Best job in the world.
Golden Hands ..👌. Not Anybody Can Do That..👍...😍😘...🙏
Where can anyone get foam in this size? Thank you
Hola buenas ustedes dejan el icopor dentro no lo utilizan para sacar más de los mismo como molde

Resins / gel coats and car body fillers. Concrete would have been a nightmare to sound down, and certainly not to the finish we wanted! Thank yooouuu
Wow! Back to business and we are loving it. (#FissionCreations from India)

What was the price of making the horse it's beautiful
what do they use to mkae the surface smooth ?
Resin flow coats, car body fillers, and a LOT of sanding
Magnifico bravissimi iiiiiiiiiiiiii
dat paard wou ik wel heel graag bij mij ij de tuin😀👍
What kind of paint and lacquer did you use ?
It's a 2k car body paint, and a 2k gloss lacquer (however.... takes a lot of finishing, both before and after painting)
What do you do with the dust of the material.
A lot of sweeping!
Mantap kuda ya...kami dri indonesia
