my theory is that the tva was destroyed by Loki eventually at some point, and because of that, the timeline where all this happened never got reset. The tva isn't located in a specific time, as we saw Morbius go from like 1500s to the tva and it was the same tva that Loki went to in 2012. So in that sense, technically they can destroy the tva at any time, and technically it would just mean that the tva was never created, or something along that line. And because of that, cap is just in an alternative universe and so is everyone in the MCU.
mmm wrong. Watch the part with ancient one and Dr. Banner. And if cap is in alternative universe...why we saw him at the end of Endgame? The timeline is one until episode 6 of Loki. And we can see it.
While it works in the movie the first time you see it as a great moment so much of this confusion would have been fixed if they had just had Steve return to the platform but now as an old man. Bruce even says "for him as long as he needs", while I get that when it first happens some people might think Bruce did something wrong and did to Steve what he did to Scott. But since Sam is going to ask "So did something go wrong or did something go right?" any way, that would clear up any confusion with the rest of the scene being able to play out like it did in the movie. Since while we can see that they are able to travel even further back with just the wristwatch. The impression you get in the movie for him to be able to return to the timeline he left, before we knew all of these TVA things, would have to be to return from where he left. Otherwise, why would he need to step on the platform in the first place to leave if it's the wristwatch almost functioning like a temp-pad teleporting you all over? Granted now that we know what we know about how the timeline worked before Loki, why would the TVA allow for there to be a single branch just for Steve to live out life and then return to the sacred timeline. Unless the events of Loki happened before Steve travelled to the past the Sacred Timeline should still be in effect so the 2 Caps in 1 timeline theory makes more sense to me even though it's out of character for Cap to do nothing.
There is still multiverse within the sacred timeline. Cap being with Peggy probably did not create a nexus event. Even though it created a new timeline. Kang only prunes the timelines that create evil versions of himself, so Cap being with Peggy probably didn’t become a nexus event but still is a different timeline from the main MCU
Time Travel is whack like that. The TVA can both exist and not exist. So it's inevitable they'll miss a lot of timelines. Hell they didn't even notice Sylvie till she was a child so even with the TVA they miss things.
Or all the events of Loki have "already" happened when Endgame happens, and the TVA isn't pruning anything anymore. The TVA exists outside of time. It's impossible to put the events of Loki on a timeline, lol. Everything that happened in that show happened simultaneously before & after all of the MCU movies and shows up to this point. Lol.
To be honest, even if Cap did go to a branch timeline, you'll still find yourself in the position of having to handwave away him returning the stones, like Cap returning the tesseract and sceptre to Hydra knowing that they'll weaponise them. Maybe you'd say he knows clipping the branches is for the greater good. But wouldn't that also apply to him living in the original timeline unseen? Either way, regardless of whether he lived in an alternate or the original timeline, Cap still has to do things that'll lead to bad things happening in the short term in order to achieve long term success. The whole argument about 'Cap wouldn't let that happen' is kinda flimsy because in order to be consistent you'd have to say Cap was out of character for not telling the 2012 Avengers about Hydra infiltrating SHIELD or whatever bad thing that's about to come. It'd effectively apply to every scenario in which Cap travels back in time.
Marvel take on time travel is very questionable. Remember when banner met ancient one and she told him if she give her the stone the timeline will split and Bruce answered we'll return the stone at the same moment. It's all good uptill now. But according to time travel if you change anything in past that will be your future mean you'll create a new timeline, so when banner took the stone from the past timeline will split and when they again go back to the same time and make changes timeline will split once again. As captain also went back in time or to a new timeline.
Captain America also said that trying to prevent a war before it begins causes people to get hurt every time. So maybe he had that mindset about altering the past in fear of messing things up worse
I choose to believe he lived in another Timeline that wasn't pruned cause despite technically happening before Loki it also happened after cause Time Travel is whack like that.
Actually loki explains why he didn't get pruned. You see since the avengers and Steve were *supposed* to time travel, it just means that it doesn't create a branch timeline. Instead, he lived in the sacred timeline, so the theories about Old Man Steve being in the background of the MCU check out.
@@souryak1251 That doesn't explain shit. That only explains why they ignored it. That doesn't explain whether or not caps in a different timeline. What does explain that caps in a different timeline is the actual rules they've already set in place and are described in this video. Meaning there's no way it could be the same timeline, by their own rules.
Exactly. One of the alternate timelines is Agent Carter’s even though that’s set in the 40’s. So technically the multiverse has existed since the beginning.
If he did jump in the past to another timeline, how would he explain the Cap which eventually gets discovered in ice? there would definitely be questions made
Ever since Spider-Man Homecoming there’s always been 2 Captain America Shields. If you watch Homecoming and just before Happy loads all of Tony’s inventions he says “ Cap’s new prototype shield” If it was the old shield why call it new bc sometimes it’s been sprayed a different color like in the beginning of The Winter Soldier movie for a covert mission. That’s how Steve has a shield when going back in time even though everyone’s seen Thanos destroy it.
He went to wakanda to get a new shield made, the panther god told them current black panther to let him get one. He then gave it to Sam, therefore it seems "segmented".
In black widow red guardian says he fought cap. So maybe he did fight future cap. He also could have teamed up with the ancient one and used her for info on what he could change without messing everything up which would give her a reason to look at the future and another reason to know about strange
I'm going to assume what happened was since it was according to the timeline that cap was supposed to do that I'm guessing what happened was they waited until he lived out his full life after he left that timeline and went back to his original the TVA pruned it
You remember how Bucky, Steve’s BFF, killed his old friend and his friend’s wife, orphaning his new friend? Remember how was still going to stand by Bucky’s side and defend him even after all of that. Even after his other friends were being detained, out on the run, and paralyzed? Yeah I don’t get it either when I put it that way. My point is, his arc was made full circle when he “left” his best friends to have that dance with his “old flame”. Up to this point it was about moving on, because there’s nothing to be done, but once he got the chance he took it; that’s literally the plot of the entire movie. That’s like saying it’s out of character for the Avengers to do whatever it took just because they didn’t do it in Infinity War. No, that’s the point, that’s the arc.
The one thing they don't mention in their own time travel rules, is that you can't change the past assuming you know everything, and have nothing but the truth. Yes cap can change the timeline, but we don't know for sure that he did, or that there weren't two caps in our timeline. The way it works is schrodiners cat, quantum entanglement. Neither cap, nor us have directly observed this time period, and while the principle is like the cat, with time travel when you observe the cat, you either make a new dead cat(cap laying low with peggy in a new timine), make a new living cat(cap changing new timeline), or the cat stays both dead and alive because we've added a temporal element, where the cat can be both because of states from different points interacting(cap goes back and discovers Peggy has no husband originally in our timeline, but in so doing becomes her husband in our timeline)
I think Steve wouldn't have done anything because he knows things would end up bad in the end if he does. Plus the instant he pulls a linchpin he changes the entire future into something completely different. I think this Steve is the one who Peggy married in this timeline but now that Loki happened we can also see a Steve that changed things. Both the writers and the directors can be right.
I think you misunderstood the way time travel works in Endgame or at least the speech by The Hulk. The point is that The Hulk is wrong when he explains time travel. He's corrected later by The Ancient One but at the time he thinks the timeline is fixed. The Ancient One later corrects him by saying that The Infinity Stones create the flow of time and removing one creates a branch. That's why they go back and put them back so that branches aren't created
Time is funny of course but i think the version of endgame we see is meant to take place after loki. Steve probably made a branch timeline but the TVA didn't purge it because of what we have seen.
Well my argument here would be that maybe captain learned from their fight with Thanos and Tony's death that altering the past will make a lot of bad things happen so he just lived his life peacefully
Maybe it’s entirely possible that the kang variant that created the timeline had a built in paradox just for Steve to live his life out. We know it’s something he’s thought of because he offered to do the same thing for Loki and sylvie. This way Steve doesn’t create a branched timeline, and anything he does in the sacred timeline was supposed to happen anyways, all while staying within the rules established by endgame and Loki.
The problem this theory is that if you change one thing let’s say you change the battle New York so looking at open the portal the avengers never farm what means Thanos comes in on challenge and it never gets reversed I’ll come and get you never learn that he’s the one he’s going to need to stop it the simple thing isThat time travel is messy and that she didn’t change stuff maybe he did maybe was just in the background subtly changing the fate of time
He must have had 1 vial of Pym particles left. Even though he spent decades in the alt time-line, technically his time travel device was still connected to the primary MCU time-line. The only question is, how did he get to the bench, given that it's implied that he was supposed to re-appear on the pad. For me that's the only real plot hole with this scene, although it's not a major, and I imagine someone's thought of an explanation around it
(before watches) for me the only question about it is, how the hell did he manage to travel between timelines? because by living with peggy he created a new timeline so he would have had to use the quantum tunnel to go back, unless for some reason even in the original timeline, that already happened...
I feel like the reason cap let go his responsability is because his super soldier serum have finally lost its power and cap went back to being the old steve roger before he get his serum because its the serum that amplified his good side to a maximum, because he went back to normal now his mind just become normal person again. That also explain his aging because his serum was suppose to halt his aging like crazy, now he looks like a frail old man.
Well keep in mind that Cap by the end of Endgame would've physically been pushing if not already middle age so adding another 100+ years of physical aging with the serum intact would logically result in him looking like an old man. So basically the dude is a walking fossil but still looks like he's in his 80's. I say that serum definitely did it's job lol
@@acecashman1237 Well, maybe he just wanna have a good time after saving the world then, knowing they would win. Maybe he just doesnt wanna mess the path they took to defeat thanos.
I agree man, they did a fabulous job dissecting Steve’s character arc as a man who never gives up as long as life in him, I get Chris Evans had a nine movie contract and by endgame had fulfilled his obligation the writers should’ve killed him in war, that’s the only way a soldier of his caliber would go out, not mention Bucky he left behind still kinda all fucked up and Peggy’s dead in his timeline he left from so going back in time what did you do with her Steve or even her husband she married after Steve was presumed dead ? I miss cap man
This is NOT out of character. I think Cap as the individual who does ALWAYS stand up for what's right did exactly that...he did nothing because changing the timeline would be far more dangerous then the chitauri or Ultron. I think it's more likely there have always been two caps in a loop
Actually Variant timeline's *CAN BE ALLOWED* to exist as a strand of a larger sacred timeline that is more like a rope of parallel universes that didn't just result in creating a new *EVIL KANG* variant coming into existence. So to be clear up until the events of Loki series there is a small multiverse in the MCU, it just always has the same outcome in every universe. Which is the *HE WHO REMAINS KANG* being born.. Also the idea that Cap sat out most of the MCU's history (other than getting a replacement shield made on the *DL* thanks to Peggy's connections For Sam Wilson when Steve eventually returns to the main MCU timeline) isn't really that big of a stretch if you think about it, after all Steve has been saving the world for over ten years now & at this point he's lost all trust in the government, lost the love of his life, lives in a world filled with more powerful superhero's protecting the world for him & is just tired & realizes that he needs a *FUCKING VACCATION.* So he took his way out while he had the chance for a fresh start & retire with Peggy knowing that the timeline is all gonna turn out just fine.. & there's also point that Cap was warned by Tony "If you mess with time it tends to mess back." So.. yeah there's the fact the he actually heeded one of the *LAST DANGERS* Tony ever warned him about before he sacrificed himself.. 😒
It is kinda crazy that it changed iron man so now actually they are a time Travel and you can now actually make you self older but I did not actually think that captain America actually done this😢 so really he is ment to be 39 and right now but now actually might die so 😢 early it comes to a R.I.P😭
Honestly I'm fine with the idea that Steve did nothing in his alternate timeline, atleast nothing major. My headcannon is that he went back in time to an alternate universe and just live a casual life with Peggy not as captain but as himself. I can see him doing what other normal people do. Go to a regular job, watch TV, etc. He did take a page out of Tony's book and just kinda quit the hero life for another type of life, a simpler one. After living like that and after Peggy died he came back to his og timeline to give Sam the shield. I'm not a fan of the criticism that he should be a hero everywhere he goes all the time, like just let the guy live a normal life yaknow. The average everyday mundane life is extremely underrated.
I don't think the TVA prunes all alternate timelines; just the ones that produce a Kang/Rama-Tut/Immortus/Scarlet Centurion. The Redline is the point at which he becomes inevitable. If Cap going back and making a better world doesn't crank out a Kang, the Sacred Timeline is safe, and nobody gets pruned.
i swear in avengers endgame they explained time travel differently where the past doesnt change the future so that stuff still didnt happen could be wrong tho idk
Also if it's a different timeline how can the stone work from An alternative timeline While yes they are the same What's stopping someone going back in time and taken it from the avangers and now having Two sets of an infinity stones? I could be looking at this wrong But if stones from a different timeline work and the main "sacred" one then why couldn't Kang just take multiple ones and just destroy the avengers and rule over all timeline s

I'd love to see a video on the acts of Cap. America. Hell, a movie or an episode in something like What If would be awesome.
cap was simply just in a different timeline but by that logic he made a branch and should be pruned
Time Travel is whack like that. The TVA can both exist and not exist. So it's inevitable they'll miss a lot of timelines. Hell they didn't even notice Sylvie till she was a child so even with the TVA they miss things.
Depends, kang only prunes new timelines if they create an evil version of himself. So maybe cap created a new timeline that didn’t create an evil kang
Lol.
@@brontsmoth671 Everything that happened in that show happened simultaneously so it should have already been pruned
@@cynicalNA thats a 50 50 chance
But the Ancient One isn’t as powerful or knowledgeable as He Who Remains.
Still waiting on the flash finally review
Yes I def want a video with what cap would do in the alternate timeline. Please make that video
THE FLASH SEASON 7 IS SICK!!!
Unless the what if series touches on it, I’d love to see your take on what might have happened if cap changes some things
He went to wakanda to get a new shield made, the panther god told them current black panther to let him get one. He then gave it to Sam, therefore it seems "segmented".
I would love a video about what that other timeline would look like!
In black widow red guardian says he fought cap. So maybe he did fight future cap. He also could have teamed up with the ancient one and used her for info on what he could change without messing everything up which would give her a reason to look at the future and another reason to know about strange
9:27 💯💯💯!!! I’d immediately watch that vid
I just thought that since cap returned the stones he must have encountered red skull there i wonder how their interaction went
"It would mean Red Guardian wasnt lying in Black Widow if there were actually 2 Caps the whole time." true though
@John C.A.T
Both the writers and the directors can be right.
it's just that if steve went to an alternate timeline he should've been back on the plate thing that he left on
Maybe he did fight the red guardian?
such an epic movie tht even 2 years after its initial release people are talking about it !!!!
🔥🔥🔥
Can You Do He Man vs Thor, Because of the new Netflix He man
would love to see a vid on what would have happend if Steve changed stuff
Would love to see a flash top speed update after the season 7 finale
Mr UK is here I haven't watched the season yet but I hope it's good
I would love to see a video about what if Steve went back in time and save the world
Well my argument here would be that maybe captain learned from their fight with Thanos and Tony's death that altering the past will make a lot of bad things happen so he just lived his life peacefully
Steve got the Sheild from wakanda before he went back in time
Yes let’s see a capt America what if video.
Miss your channel man.
The problem this theory is that if you change one thing let’s say you change the battle New York so looking at open the portal the avengers never farm what means Thanos comes in on challenge and it never gets reversed I’ll come and get you never learn that he’s the one he’s going to need to stop it the simple thing isThat time travel is messy and that she didn’t change stuff maybe he did maybe was just in the background subtly changing the fate of time
Guys I’m confused in season 4 episode 15 Cisco couldn’t open a breach because of flashtime but in episode 22 he could. And I know this was 3 years ago
How did he get back to the main timeline though?
He must have had 1 vial of Pym particles left. Even though he spent decades in the alt time-line, technically his time travel device was still connected to the primary MCU time-line. The only question is, how did he get to the bench, given that it's implied that he was supposed to re-appear on the pad. For me that's the only real plot hole with this scene, although it's not a major, and I imagine someone's thought of an explanation around it
9:32
Could be an interesting story too
(before watches) for me the only question about it is, how the hell did he manage to travel between timelines? because by living with peggy he created a new timeline so he would have had to use the quantum tunnel to go back, unless for some reason even in the original timeline, that already happened...
I think the new timeline was completely different. I’d love to see a video on it (and I have a few ideas if my own that you might find interesting.)
i loved loki
Hopefully we'll get these questions and more answered in What If but who knows
Why didn't the legends/time masters stop barry from creating flashpoint?
Bro he would sit back think about it he knows it ends well
(pre watch comment) Ay Comics, ima need you to talk about TheFlash S7 finale 👀⚡️🔥
I miss cap man
My problem with the TVA is they make character choice pointless. If Tony doesnt kill himself and Thanos they erase it until he does.
Maybe cap from another timeline came to this one with stark or hulks help (thats why different shield) and our cap is living in anther timeline
All Steve did was watch
Roadhouse
😂
Ruthless by Sick YG? Nice. Love Anarchy Reigns.
Do what if with cap with future knowledge !!
Video on season 7?
I think I would a what if story involving cap
i swear in avengers endgame they explained time travel differently where the past doesnt change the future so that stuff still didnt happen could be wrong tho idk
The flash season 7 updates too speeds
Make a vid on how fast the flash is now he just got a bug boost in the finale
The real question is how can they put the stones back into the same timeline? Aren't they changing those the same way they just said wasn't possible?
Also if it's a different timeline how can the stone work from
An alternative timeline
While yes they are the same
What's stopping someone going back in time and taken it from the avangers and now having
Two sets of an infinity stones?
I could be looking at this wrong
But if stones from a different timeline work and the main "sacred" one then why couldn't Kang just take multiple ones and just destroy the avengers and rule over all timeline s
comics...listen he went back in the past...to give the time stone back to the ancient one. who let herself die so that dr. strange would understand what was truly at stake. so if she is willing to do that...want makes you think she let him even keep his memories of the past. the sorcery supreme must do WHATEVER it takes to keep the world from knowing about other threats. the knowledge that rodgers has in his head could change the world. the ancient one cant afford to let that happen. "Because its not about you" her words. facts.😎
That doesn't make sense, she never erased the memories of Bruce when he interacted with her in the past so why would she do it with Cap?
@@acecashman1237 umm do you mean the same ancient one who did not win the battle for new york 2012 by herself? you mean the same ancient one who did nothing to prevent all the tragedies that formed the avengers? the same ancient one who probably knew bucky was the winter soldier and still let him kill howard stark? 14 million outcomes she probably seen...and did nothing. so she does whatever she wants when she wants ...to whoever she wants. why? "because its not about you." yep. boom. 😎
Also, what did he do to mjolnir
Like when Thor took it from the past, the past thor still had mjolnir like you said with the shield and stuff, so, I'm curious about that
How'd he avoid getting pruned by the TVA?
That's what I want to find out
Exactly, so he must've not done anything outside of what Kang allowed to happen
Ya that would be a cool video
I think that this version of Steve went back and had evidence about his life before he time travelled and decided to go to Wakanda and they made him that shield and then he passed it on to Falcon.
I mean you won't know as this time travelling thing isn't explained properly and the timeline thing god I thought the Flash was pretty bad at timline changes but seeing all the other movies and shows I think The Flash excutes it In the best way
Yes to all those suggestions ajd your thoughts on Nora and Bart
if there are 2 caps in 1945 then that means canonically there were 3 caps during the battle of new york
I'd also say his super soldier serum would have been a complete waste if he just 'settled down' like that when he had another what 60 years to do good?
So by this logic either peggy carter had 2 captain americas or our captain america let himself frozen, right?
Yes, it would be interesting to see how the world would have changed.
