I caught my biggest perch off a beach in WA with a Lil Cleo 2/5oz on a medium light. Combination of twitching and letting the spoon drift. Hardware for perch is definitely underrated.

I grew up in Oregon fishing on Detroit lake and the surrounding areas around the cascades with my dad. Now I live in Germany (Army brought me here) and my 9yo son caught the fishing addiction. We go fishing as often as we can, but the fishing here is different. I am spoiled with Oregon and Washington fishing where all we used to do was stop in the local tackle shop and buy some salmon eggs and roostertails and be rippin fish all day. Here, those rules dont always apply. Waters are just different here. Which brought me to your video to learn different tactics and gear to give my son better fishing trips. Keep up the good content. We both love your videos.

The last time I ate salmon done like that was at a fouth of July celebration in 1989 at Gooseberry Point on the Lummi Indian Reservation. It was a butterflied Chinook. It was at my boss's place.

I'm happy to catch any kind of slab. When I'm out bass fishing I will occasionally take a break to throw flies or jigs on ultralight for little panfish. I just like the way they fight. I want to take that same ultralight gear and go after some of those 3...4...5 lb red ear sunfish we grow in Lake Havasu.

Those BC Steel spoons look a lot like little cleos, are they basically cloned cleos or is there a difference? [Little Cleos are my go to lure 90% of the time so a solid alternative seems pretty cool]
