It's interesting to hear Jordan talk about a "newly discovered fishery" on that river. 20 years ago it would have been shoulder to shoulder with idiots ripping at those coho. You actually have those game wardens you ran into to thank for it not being such a cess pool anymore. I'm glad it has cleaned up quite a bit. Not too many fisheries can you say actually get better with time. Just out of curiosity, do you have any footage of those coho actually taking a 3/4 oz jig in 1 ft of water? I'd be interested to see it. Thanks!
It’s still a snag/floss fishery. I don’t visit there and of course those coho didnt grab the jig in a couple inches of water :) (first one hooked on outside right cheek if you watch close and one was bonked before being held up- look at the eyes). Nice video though and fun to see the collab! Love the vids.

Taku's creations make me drool uncontrollably every time 🤤 Jordan you cook up some pretty neato dishes as well buddy! I've recreated several of them and all have been added to my recipe list 🤙
I will try that recipe without the clams. Replace it with fresh Salmon cubes. Only because I am not a fan of clams. Sure it will taste good with fish. It looks delicious. Can’t wait to try it for myself. 😉👍😁

Good stuff. I love combining fishing trips with some other foraging or food gathering. I only saw manilas and varnish clams. I personally stay clear of the varnish clams. Native littlenecks tend to be more circular (less oblong) and whiter than the manilas. Manilas can have nice patterns on the shells as Taku said.
On Victoria Island, we did some claiming on an adventure. Their were thousands, we called the Piss Clams. U walk and they would shoot water up, easy finds.

No footage of it because it’s HIGHLY unlikely it happened that way. Seems you know the river, and you probably know how it works too.
