Planning on going there soon! Long time ago we went there when they were still charging a membership fee just to go to their store but it has changed name and there’s no more membership fee ! We went there two years ago! I just want to look for their merchandise! The produce and meats are expensive!
The KPOP Center is more elaborate than you might realize. It's a training center for students looking to become an idol in Korea. Many of the instructors actually worked with idols from the Big 4 - and they have a development team to help students decided on a course. They also hold auditions here for several companies including Pledis, Hybe America, Black Label, Kakao, SM, Fantagio, Source and PNation.
Hi Chris. Thanks for the nice walking tour. This mall is huge and not easy to make your way around. But sometimes you find some great places when you just wonder around. So many places to try wonderful Korean food. Guess I need to try them all if I'm in the area. Take care.
I used to live just down Orangethorpe from here. I can't believe how much this has been developed. I used to love to go to the different Asian centers around OC like the Vietnamese places in Westminster and the Asian restaurants in Irvine. I'm going to be staying near there in a few months. I think I'll stop by. Thanks Chris!
I generally get stressed out in malls but there’s a lot of outdoor space. I like the large selection of foods and merchandise and fun places like the indoor playground and movie theatres. I think this mall will be nicer with more seating areas outside for children and older people … more garden spaces/trees for people to chill out between shop visits.
I live about 3 miles from there. I’ve never heard of The Source as a Korean Mall, but I have to say it’s a pretty accurate description. I know the city of Buena Park financed it and built it as I used to have a family member who worked for the city. When it first opened and for many years, The Source was very dead. Half of the stores were unoccupied. I had wondered if it was ever going to take off or the community just wasn’t ready to deal with a multistory parking structure. Fortunately the parking lot is nicely designed so you don’t have to circle around 4 times to get to level 4, you just drive straight to 4th floor if the lower levels are busy. I wish all the multilevel parking lots were designed like that. I imagine this design probably yields fewer parking spots. If anyone knows, please let me know.
That seems more of a regular Mall like they all are, it only has korean outlets in there, along with other international stores. Indoor and Outdoor Dining Now Available The Source OC is the home to many delicious restaurants. From South Korea's popular Myrung Rang Hot Dog to the classy Italian Il Fiora, everyone is sure to find a place to satisfy their cravings. Check out our full list of tasty dining options!
Thanks for posting. Am wondering when was this Mall built? Guess it would take days to see all the shop lots. Wonderful! Am planning to go there with a Korean friend from Ohio.
I went here for the first time couple months ago cause I had to return a kpop album. I really wanted to walk around and explore but everything was pretty much closed by the time I got there 😔 I can't wait to go back and try out the restaurants!
Didnt this place have a nice Chinese restaurant pre covid?? Looks like Orange Blossom took their place. Also when I went most shopping downstairs wasnt marked out or leased! Will be nice to see all whats there now
Buean park has come along way from being almost a ghetto city with gangs, drugs and prostitutes to now being a safe city for mostly koreans with a handful of Vietnamese
@@MrAresxy07 not the ones near me they’re actually less sweet than what I’m normally used to. I think they’re delicious and they go great with coffee or tea.
Do you think tourists from Korea would visit this mall? Is this mall a sign that cultures are coming together? Allot of outposts from Korea , very interesting!
Yeah - here and Koreatown, of course. (One of the best neighborhoods to live in LA, esp. if you don't have big bucks.) Some of the older businesses in KTown have folded or are struggling due to the effects of Covid.
Now very popular advertisement lingo old time 80's original 1ST franchise chicken called Pelicana chicken BP Source. If you don't get inline you have 2 wait over 50mins. 🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I grew up just on the other side of the freeway and this sits on the old franklin motel and car wash. Total shithole place that sadly lots of families lived in. The project was announced at the very bottom of the economy and was objected by the old racist locals that dotted the area. Im glad to see it has finally taken hold. Originally was supposed to include condos but there was local opposition and a few homeowners who wouldnt sell. My only critique is the big ugly dead wall facing orangethorpe. This part of town leveled up, apparently.
Amazing how you read all the names of the food signs except the one that said BLACK in big letters and you had to pause and think about it to avoid it lol bravo you racist phuk lol. didnt want to screw with the youtube algorithm huh.
Wait so when our counties in California were asking for affordable housing with rent controlled units we instead got a K-pop stadium?? Please don’t ever question why we have high crime and homelessness rates 😭😭😭😭

My kids always go here. It had a slow and difficult start when it opened but now it’s pretty popular.

Neat! Thanks for that data point
We were here before and it was fun but thanks for posting your video. Looks like they’ve added more restaurants. I want to come back again now!

Didn't even know this existed. My work is literally 10 minutes from Knotts so this would be a good stop for lunch or dinner. Will check it ou!
Sweet. Glad to share something new 😀
Welcome to OC! Love The Source Mall. Only 20 minutes from my home

Agreed that the mall needs more seating
Lots of seating if not outdoors then at the food courts. Plenty.
@@YellowProductions Can you get the authorities to do that?? It would be a good diversion for seniors to chill out!
As a Korean, this is one of my favorite place to visit in SoCal.
Love it 🥰
Thanks for the info + video!

As a California loving person this really catched me. So we can get an idea of what OC has to offer

I love the food court here.
Wow, awesome...I will definitely go to this mall when I go to OC
Lovely Place! thanks for the video
Our pleasure!
Thank you for this! We went to Northgate based on your video so we’ll definitely check out this place.
Awesome! The Strawberry Crème donut from the donut place in the 3rd floor food court is really good :)
Awesome, but how does it compare to the 2 Korean malls in K town?
This one is definitely bigger. Food here probably isn't quite as good as K Town LA
I will love to go . Anyone know the address ?
6988 Beach Blvd, Buena Park, CA 90621
Cool video 💕
Reminds me of 3RD STREET PROMENADE & DOWNTOWN SANTA MONICA
I love the source ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wow I had no idea there was a mall there. I haven’t been to this area in years.
It's a must!!!
I dont remember any place there having Tteokbokki so glad to see this!!!
Now there's quite a few :)

I love Korean bakeries
To me is just overly sweet expensive bread

Agreed. Korean pastries are generally less sweet than American pastries
you should check out asian garden mall its much smaller but its more small businesses
Where is that one please?
It’s in our neighborhood 🎉great place to go to
I ❤ Korean Kung Fu
Korean Capoeira good too
Korean corn rows...

I go here but never realized its an actual Korean mall. And the biggest ? Wow.
Yup!
Nice place to take my family, we'll check it out
Do you think tourists from Korea would visit this mall? Is this mall a sign that cultures are coming together? Allot of outposts from Korea , very interesting!
yup I seen a lot of Koreans when I went there it’s really like a second Korea town opposed to the crowded l.a Korea town
Indeed I do think it's a destination

Love this video, thank you for giving us a tour. I live on the east coast and we don’t have anything like that here
Pro tip: walk down the street to the famous cuban bakery, Porto's
Great tip on Portos
I recommend the Yoshiharu Ramen! It's delicious!
Thanks for having my back on the ramen! 😀
A nice change from SF.
...what should have happened with the empty Gwinnett Place Mall in Atlanta's K-Town.
Mexican food trucks with no english words or speakers isnt my target audience either lol
If you have a dedicated channel on SoCal Asian places I’d subscribe and watch it!
@12:08 Is it only me that found it gross leaving your drink/food exposed out on the cart before going in store. Just saying
What happened to the Popeyes chicken? There used to be one there!

Hey Yellow Productions!
Hello Elizabeth 👋
Nice video but the mall design is a headache for walking around
Yeah... I often wonder about the architects of the physical structure when I'm navigating around this place
Hi
👍

i heard the old owner of the mall committed suicide a couple of years ago due to financial problems. sad story
I thought that was fake. I could be wrong.
❤❤❤ 🇰🇷‼️
Shhhh stop telling the world 🤫

Congratulations!

These are all individual store owners making a living bro just like you in a capitalistic society. Not even an argument.
Hey simpleton, it’s not an either or. You can have both. Do you even vote?

so white girls don't like your haircut...
