I made your apple pie desert for this Thanksgiving. Omg it was a hit. My mother is German and she could not get over how beautiful the streusel topping came out. This was my first apple pie I have ever made and I was so proud. The slices came out picture perfect usually the first cut is the messiest not this pie. I used the Granny Smith apples. I’m keeping this recipe and making it again for Christmas. Thank you for making me look good with my pie.
What a treasure you are. Just found you here an the Tube 🤗 have been to your website and and so excited to try cooking better for myself. These recipes are going to change my life.. I have been in a funk and with being alone now cooking was not on my list of how to be happy lol. Thanks soooo much 🥰
I like most things I’ve seen from you, but not this one. I would have put the cinnamon and sugar in the bowl with the apples to begin with; make sure they’re all covered and let them soak up the flavor. This would make the flavor more uniform, plus much easier to put in pie plate. Just a suggestion. Love your channel! Thank you!
Thank you so much for all that you do. It is hard to find good recipes that are perfect for empty nesters. At this moment, I have the 1 cinnamon roll recipe in the oven. It is the first of your recipes that I am trying and am looking forward to it. Thank you again!
I made this and it turned out delicious. I added a little pure vanilla to my mixture. Also, I added brown sugar with the cinnamon onto my apples. Thank you.
I've made this recipe twice now. You're so right about using the Granny Smith apples. They provide the perfect balance of sweet and tart, complimenting the crust so well. The first time I think I used honey crisp or gala. That was a little too sweet for my taste though still yummy 😊
Looks amazing without a pastry crust I enjoyed watching this video however this video is extremely helpful if you will make apple pie without a pastry crust. thanks.
@@LeighAnneWilkes I did make them, and Wow, delicious! And I just watched your Sour Cream Lemon mini pies, so now I can't wait to make those! Your recipes are amazing, thank you for them!
These little pies look so yummy, i will adapt it to using Stevia/monk fruit sugar alternative. Going to get this one to try Thanks for sharing the recipe.
They look simple to make ,and delicious ! but I wonder if they look as appealing once’s dug out of pie dish to serve!! Nothing a dollop of custard won’t hide 😂 Still only one way to find out 😋
@@LeighAnneWilkes Thank you so much. I'm so glad I found your channel. As empty nesters my husband has been "suffering" (😏😉🤣) because I don't bake as much as usual. While I don't mind making bigger portion dinners so I can have leftovers or can freeze for later.. Desserts not so much. I love "seasonal recipes". I make apple theme for September, Pumpkin October etc. But making full servings are too much. I usually only make dessert for weekends and I'm not a big sweet eater. These recipes and portions are perfect. His favorites are apple anything and crumb cake.. I plan to surprise him this weekend. Thank you again 😊
I live on my own so your small batch cooking is ideal for me, I love your recipes.
So glad you are enjoying them!!

Would it be easier to mix the sugar cinnamon in a separate bowl & fold the apples in it?

They actually come of these pie tins very easy, hold their shape and the presentation is great.
Can I use pears? Or red apples?
Sure you could use either.
I’ll definitely being using pears. I dehydrated some last year I need to use up before fall before the new fruit is ripe. Great recipe TY!
YUM ! 😋
It was!
Do you rinse and dry the apples before you put them in the crust?
Just rinse off and pat dry. Enjoy!
