On your UI: I think the glow can work, but it should really look like its glowing. It can be challenging to do, a lot of products (like Linear) have this kind of style and you can break down how they get the effect and apply it to your own design. You also might want to consider not centering the text, having it be right aligned but having the containers be the same or similar size to give everything extra structure which will make it easier to scan. Really enjoyed the video!
Will you be going for the traditional 4 elements as far as magic goes? My wife says she likes the blue glow but the sort of brown copper glow is too much contrast.
Hi thanks for asking, right now I hope I can handle 4 elements, more elements = more time, but the plan is have more elements for sure, and it's going to be added more while Im develop the game. Thanks about "Copper Glow" yeah it's to much I gonna test remove it, and use Blue glow and test with it.
I love the idea of the new UI, a tab system is similar to what I'm using in my own game, its tidy and looks smart. Perhaps curve the corners a little on the icons you could also animate the buttons when you hover over them. What package are you using to create the UI ?
Heey and thanks matt! Ohhh we nearly got the same thats awesome :D Yeah about the curve could spice it up and yeah about the animation have I planned. I'm using the old Unity UI, and not the new UI Toolkit, but maybe the new UI Toolkit should be something to play around with?
I don't know why he is not telling you the name of the software that you asked about (maybe it's a secret?) but he is using CoralDRAW, it's a web based vector app.
I thought he asked for packed in Unity:) corel vector if u wonder for the software. Edit: here is the website for the vector software app.corelvector.com And thanks @devonaxx point that, my mind only focused on "package" in Unity:P
🔥🔥Smash the Like button!
I liked the quest system and adding the quest item in the inventory UI :) well done
