I have a DT12 that wasn’t originally equipped with a PTO. I have now installed an OEM rear PTO with air only, no wiring, but I can’t figure out how to engage it
I figured it out. The pto does require power, and I simply attached the proper harness/connection to to the pto and bypassed it directly to the battery.
@@FernandoRomero-ch9lk I don’t mind at all. What exactly do you need help with? As for programming, I did not of that. I never do any programming on pto installations.
PTO stands for power take off its attached to your transmission so you can use the engine to turn a hydraulic pump for things like dump trucks, cranes, walking floor trailers, low boys with hydraulic necks etc
I got assigned a Peterbilt 579 for a company I work. It also comes with PTO feature or switch. I have never seen this on Freightliners or Volvos, can u please tell what this PTO is for and when to use it: I pull a 53” ft dry van trailer??!!

Hey boss I have a dt-12 and people have told me I have to program it and waste 9500-12,000 to install wet kit. Do you mind helping me out?

I bought DD15 - with a dt-12 OA Transmission.
Can I adapt a pto??
Good job team
If I drive truck and it is in PTO mode.. Is there any risk for the shaft
No but if you drive the truck with the PTL on, you may burn the PTO out
PTO
Is this the same with an Allison?
Typically a hot shift pto on Allisons, hit the switch and you’re good to go
No

You lucky dawg!!!
Allison is better than Eaton. you cant even pave with Eaton if you PTO is setup like this as shown in the video.
Man that makes no sense...I like Allison alot better....drive then neutral just to engage & disengage 🤦♂️🤷♂️
