@Maximo Diego I really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
I was going to ask you when was the last time you cleaned 🧼 that dust bowl of a cab ? But after hearing you explain the Difficulties of dumping, when would you have the time ?
Hey driver great video. I'm starting quad axle dump truck job end of june if you have any more tips please share open to any advice from experienced drivers. Thanks in advance
The PTO pump is what lifts the bed with hydraulic oil. The PTO has to be "In" in order to raise the bed, but to lower it, you don't need it to be "in". It works like a hydraulic jack. Has to be "in" and locked to raise, but not to lower it.
It can depend on the hoist. There are some hoist designs that suggest powering down aka keeping the pump engaged to lower the body even though it will still go down with the pump disengaged. I have such a hoist on my 5 yarder, made by Chrysteel Manufacturing. It's not a telescoping mast, so that may be why.
Yea get with a smaller size construction company that needs a cdl dumptruck or trailer dump driver they will usually show you the ins and outs of the truck and have someone go with you the first day. Make sure pto is disengaged. Dumpbody is down and tailgate is locked When driving. And us tag axle when loaded only lift axle up when turning at stop signs or traffic lights then put it back down. Good luck. Buddy.
What's up bobcat I just had a question when you're driving a semi dump and you're getting ready to dump do you engage the trailer brake or the tractor brake or both just wondering cuz I want to get into the start driving one of these( semi dump)
I use the hand spike aka hand brake when I'm dumping. If not, then just use your foot brake. let the load push ya or you will raise the truck in the air and possibly turn over.
What can cause a PTO to not come on? See on the dash that the PTO is on but it doesn't do anything. I feel like it could be the solenoid valve near the pump
im on an automatic dump truck i can drive stick but my company doesnt have any so im really curious about how they work. i kno u have to put the clutch in to put the pto on. will the bed raise if u still have the clutch pushed in or do u have to full release it ?
It just happened to me few weeks ago, was loaded whit milling, and this thing get stacked in the bed, next thing that I can remember was my dump truck flipped. Total lost. Always make sure that your load it's going out, and like the video says pull forward very gently. Good luck.
Thanks, starting new job driving Dump Truck. Helpful video.
No problem

Always double check your small convex mirrors (blind spot) before lane changes.
So you can go down with the body with the PTO off, but it has to be ON to go up??

Yes correct
Gravity will bring the box down there’s no sense running the pump to bring it down
What's the best way to get into dumping? I just got my Class A and this would be my first trucking gig. Thanks for any advice.

What does PTO stand for?
Dont need to use the clutch when disengaging the pto. Saves time on a busy dump site it's good to gtfo asap
Yep.
Yes
Do you have to drop the airbags on a tandem like you do on a enddump
Yes
What's up bobcat I just had a question when you're driving a semi dump and you're getting ready to dump do you engage the trailer brake or the tractor brake or both just wondering cuz I want to get into the start driving one of these( semi dump)
Hi. No I dont set the tractor or trailer parking brakes when dumping I just keep my foot on the brake pedal with light steady pressure
I use the hand spike aka hand brake when I'm dumping. If not, then just use your foot brake. let the load push ya or you will raise the truck in the air and possibly turn over.
Do some cleaning inside of your cab dude!
Copy that.
What can cause a PTO to not come on? See on the dash that the PTO is on but it doesn't do anything. I feel like it could be the solenoid valve near the pump
Make sure you have normal air pressure if its air operated.
Otherwise take a look underneath first to see anything unusual with pto
By the way ??? That’s not a Tag ??? It’s a Pusher !!! A Tag would be on the Rear !!! Tag a long ??? Get it ???
can u put the truck in gear while pto is on if u need to inch forward or backward a little bit
Yes you can to inch up a little bit if you need to
im on an automatic dump truck i can drive stick but my company doesnt have any so im really curious about how they work. i kno u have to put the clutch in to put the pto on. will the bed raise if u still have the clutch pushed in or do u have to full release it ?
I am in europe sometimes i leave the tpo on while moving forward on first its bad? Its better to turn it off after raise and then move forward yes?
Yes
its still called a triaxle when it has four axles?
I'm starting out on a twin steer
Yes it is
@@Bobcat325 why is that? What is it named for?
@@Alf_4 twin steers still hold same weight as a triaxle. Twin steers have way more heavy duty axles than a regular triaxle.
Great Video 📸....!!! When are you getting a Newer Truck?
Maybe in near future
thans man that video was more clear
👍
Great video !!
Thanks
What kind os suspension does the truck have? Is it single or double frame?
Double
if the load doesnt come out and you dont realize what happens?
Yea the truck can flip on its side. Or piston can break off and the body can get tweeked
