    Bassist Will Lee literally not missing a beat when Jerry comes up to shake his hand. Just pounds the strings with his left hand. Legend.

    Jerry showing so much class by going into the band to greet Sid and Will.

    I’m enjoying these montages. So far, my favorite first-time Letterman comedian from the early days has been Ray Romano. Ray Romano was so natural, rather than presenting a scripted performance, if you know what I mean.

      I don't really think of Romano being from the early days. He first appeared on the show in 1995, when Dave was already at CBS and had been hosting late night shows for 13 years.

    This was terrific, I wish Jerry had convinced him.

    I guess Jerry thought the Romper Room reference was a bit dated in 2015.

    At 12:48 Dave says to him “Is that from the old show?”

    Is 15:01 the first time the old theme (faintly) appeared on Late Show?

      Excellent question.

      @@dongiller thank you for responding Don. I hope that you're able to update the archives again someday. Either way, what you've provided is one of a kind.

    Does anyone know what the music is that Paul plays for Jerry’s last appearance? When he walks out?

    • @dongiller
      @dongiller  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Curtis Mayfield, “Move on Up.”
