No DLC compartmentalizing of the playerbase, no nickle-and-diming or battle pass nonsense, just a single purchase and great gameplay with hands down the best movement in any BF game to date. If they'd just let it ship with a few more maps and more content instead of leaning into the "live service" nonsense, it truly could honestly have been the greatest historical BF of all time.

@NicholasAdamDemonte theres alot more community servers than normal dice servers. this doesnt even applies to battlefield V but the older battlefield as well. we all know dice servers are full of hackers, but community servers i never ran into a hacker before.
My very first match of Conquest last night (9-24-2024) after buying the game, Every team mate that spawned in died instantly from a hacker. I left the lobby and joined another one and didn't have a problem the rest of the night. I can't stand those people that think cheating like that is fun.
I love how active this game still is. I've loved it since launch and since then my son has gotten old enough to play as well. Now I get to share my love for this game with him in full active lobbies and all their glory.

One of the best quality of BF V is its learning curve, I have more than 400 hours on it and I feel I have still so much to learn it's amazing, never felt that in previous BFs
the graphics of this game still looks good compared to most games today idk if it's just me though, i find it hard to spot enemies in BF V maps compared to BF 1, BF 2042 -- perhaps it's the contrast of colors

Gotta hop on at the right time, it's most active from around 2pm to 10pm. Outside those hours, you can play on Singapore Servers at about 90ms from Melbourne.
@davidchen7702 Many will be hosted from Japan, there should be a decent number from Singapore if you scroll enough. I recall getting about 94ms playing on those servers from here. Do keep in mind you'll have to tweak around with the search filter, as only 99 servers are allowed to be shown so some that may be populated or low ping or otherwise interesting, may be hidden. Also try and pay attention to server names. Many will be HC/hardcore/200%, which may or may not be your cup of tea. That means 200% damage, so one shot sniper rifles like old COD and otherwise just really HIGH TTK. I recall the main active Aussie server to be hard-core. This may also be outdated information too since they buffed the anticheat, but DICE-named servers typically had a lot of cheaters whilst player moderated servers, including the Aussie ones, did not. Again, that is likely outdated information as they did update the anticheat a number of months back so it might be fine now.
This was the first game i bought when i got my pc. I love bf5. The visuals and gameplay are great to me. The campaign was amazing to me as well. Im not a complainer like alot of gamers online are. The game is loads of fun

Battlefield games are timeless in a way as they all take place at different times. I occasionally hop back on BF4 and its so nice to have all my gadgets and guns unlocked, feels nice to not lose that. and theres always at least 2 full 64 player servers in australia i can play. Admittedly I do log off after being mowed down by jets for an entire game but its still fun wile it lastes
The big problem with BF V is the absurd amount of cheaters and hackers. I've got in the mood to play a few rounds recently and went to it but after an hour or so I was already done again. I played one round of Breakthrough without cheaters and before that I've obvious aimbots, aimbot teleporters and on one server my whole team dropped dead several times, just to give a few examples. Sad.
0:40 - every voice is female, DICE made this game into a joke. I remember the first time I played multiplayer, I was bayonetted by a black german lady. Quite an unexpected experience.

Three other easter eggs besides the one you mentioned on solomon islands. 1. In the truck on E, there is a banana. You can only see it when it's destroyed. It's in the driver's seat. 2. Rarely, you will find a palm leaf with green blood (predator reference) on D. When you stay around it long enough, strange noises happen. 3. Only works if you're on the Japanese. You have to go to two specific trees around the map, and on each you have to play the famous BF noise (skull busters has a video on it, dating back 4 years. Follow his tutorial). Then you go to Japanese spawn and interact with the radio. Afterwards, you should hear a loud siren type thing. Everyone can hear it. It will terrify a lot of people. This easter egg is a Bad Company 2 reference.

Beautiful looking and sounding game. The M1 Garand in this game is by far my favourite version of it it’s just so much fun. There’s an EE on Japanese side once activated it plays that BC2 WW2 creepy noise. I did that EE every time I got a chance on Solomon Islands. I also got the chance to win a comp with a cool screenshot. Got the art book. 10 people all up won. Was so awesome to win something from Battlefield. Rotterdam was my favourite map. But Solomon and pacific maps were the best looking.
If they just updated this game or gave us a next gen version I think it could work for a “new” battlefield game. All we need are new guns and maps and bam it will be great

In EU they I don't see many cheaters after update. And the few I see last one round before they leave or get banned.
