Hey. This was happening to me. Only my text tones wouldn’t work w sound. No matter what I did! I followed this video and it still didn’t work. BUT I can tell you I just did a small update that was available and then it worked. I messed w the sound settings a little more also. And now it’s fine. Good luck iPhone users!!!

Both my sister and mine don't work since iPhone 15 pro max purchase. Settings are all right. Only thing that works for me temporarily is turning phone on and off.

Hey, check to make sure you have one or any of the three selected from Lock Screen, Notification Center, and/or Banners. Mine worked (Messages and Whatsapp) after I picked Lock Screen for both. No matter what I do, there is a bubble on the Lock Screen... which I don't want and never had before. This is obviously a iOS 17 bug.

Did the trick. Just wish I didn’t have to have one of the three alerts selected to get the sound

@@deadz0ne84 I know what you mean! Now we have to constantly check for messages if we dont want them popping up on our lockscreens, for example! This happened a long time ago and then was fixed. They need to fire that programmer… I guess he is still around! Lol

Mine still aren’t working on 15 Pro. I’ve never had this issue with any iPhone but this one has me so mad I’m really thinking about flipping to Android. It’s crazy that for some ppl they need to turn off Bluetooth for their notifications to work on the device. Mine doesn’t work period in silent or ring all it does is display the badge not a vibrate, tone, nothing. You would think Apple would already be working on a fix but apparently not

Got the same issue and husband says that he sent me messages I don’t even hear it at all thank goodness for my watch

By turning off the VPN I was able to get alert notifications from my new iPhone 15 Pro Max. Hope this helps

My iPhone 15 pro max stopped regularly making an alert sound with text messages a week ago. It is the inconsistency that I can't work out and it's driving me crazy as I'm missing urgent messages. Sadly none of these video suggestions are helping
