- iPhone Message Notification Sound Not Working - Muting Text Conversations FIX If you are having an issue not hearing your phone text (SMS) come through then I will give you 8 ways on how to fix it. We start with the simplest and most common issue and move on from there. This issue was found on Apple's discussion boards: discussions.ap... [ Group Text On iPhone11, Phone Keeps Muting Alerts on a Thread ] and I added some other ways to resolve the issue they didn't cover. You will notice this happens if you see a moon next to the text message (if pinned).

Hide Alerts??? How in the world did this get turned on for some contacts? Thank you soooo much! I've watched several videos and have read other info for several days, and this is the first time I received the answer I needed. Can't thank you enough.

Thank you!!! My husband’s phone wasn’t pinging when I texted him but was when everyone else texted him. Somehow hide alerts was toggled on for me. Simple fix thanks to you! Google didn’t help me but you did!
I went through all of your suggestions and for me it ended up being an issue with the settings. Once I reset my phone, the problem was corrected. I watched several other tutorials and none of them mentioned the reset. Thanks so much, I was driving myself crazy trying to

Not sure how this happened but my phone switch was red or in the off position. TY!😊
Thank you the first thing you mentioned was the problem. My alert bell was red and I tried every combination know to man in my settings to fix it. I'm not sure how that button got pressed to mute the world , but it happened. Thanks again for the video, I was about to turn into one of those old people that need their kid to fix their phone..lol and I'm not ready for that ..yet

There’s a noti bell with a line through it next to a chicks name in my messages. Does that mean she has notifications off or is that a setting I control

I don't see a date for this tutorial, but there is no "hide alert" option on my SE iphone. Sometimes it alerts, but more often, it doesn't, and this also happened on my older 6s that I got rid of last month. Upgrading my phone did no good. I just missed a telemed alert!
I found on my 8SE when I went to the text message name and touched the arrow pointing right (under the name) it brought up another page. When I scrolled down I found a hide alert arrow. Hopes this helps.

Am having android phone all the voices in my phone is working but only when i send voice messages to people they can't be able to hear anything from my voice messages is really frustrating i even updated my WhatsApp and i deleted the WhatsApp and reinstalled a new WhatsApp but still nothing happened please can u be able to guide me a few steps please 😢❤

All of these are set correctly on my 11 yet I randomly (almost never) receive an iMessage notification….never missed a sound message notification on Samsung. I blame Apple because no one has been able to fix it. I’m not factory resetting my iPhone again because it’s never fixed it. It’s the same with both my iPads. Everyone I know with Apple products has this issue & just accepts it, but I can’t. If you have any suggestions other than getting rid of Apple products, I’m open. Thanks
