- What an amazing strip of road to cycle down on a glorious summer morning. The new aero bike was put through it's paces on this bumpy, potholed road and handled superbly. It's great that I got to film this because while I could appreciate how stunning the views were at the time I had to stay pretty focused on holes and wet patches. And those tunnels... I could see as much as you can, scary!

2:04 the sign says “dangerous road, risk of rock fall, use at your own risk”. This road was closed for about 3 years straight due to a huge landslide. It is indeed spectacular but very hard to maintain because of unstable rocks above. Along it you can see, in the distance, the clouds coming over the mountain range and sliding down the slope on this south side.
Makes the decent even more gnarly ngl
Most roads in the mountains are like this. Do not ride in the rain or after the rain when landslide are most likely.
I have never understood what you are supposed to do when seeing a falling rocks sign? Get the umbrella out? Not go through the road? Give no fucks?
Yep, did this decend a few years ago when it was closed. Most scary thing I did on a bike!
There is no way I would have been able to jump that grating at 5:54. There is no doubt that I would have stuck the front wheel in it, somersaulted, and landed on my head. I've done it before.
That was intense! I'm pretty sure my front wheel would have gotten caught up and I would have went OTB haha SAFA is BEAST

I love this one yes, very nice climb with very few cars. Some of the most beautiful beaches there too! I really like Rua dos Capuchos off Estrada da Serra - any other good ones in sintra/cascais area?@

Can confirm that. The green of the shrubs, trees and plants in the mountains is completely unreal. It looks as if someone cranked up the saturation knob to 11.

you should cme to india, at the lower tip of india theres a popular island called rameshwaram, it would be really cool if u rode by the indian ocean and on an amazing bridge called pamban which connects the island to indian territory, sri lanka is only 15 kms away

You can’t, even with a front light, because your eyes don’t have time to adapt to the sudden light difference. Turns out that, until about a year ago, one of those tunnels had big holes (like, at least 5 cm deep). Also, a bit ahead of the spot where Brian started there’s a sign saying “dangerous road, risk of rock fall, use at your own risk” 😬. I rode the same road about 3 weeks ago
