  • Pang Sida National Park is situated in the eastern Thai province of Sa Kaeo. Pang Sida National Park is famous for its birds, butterflies, and waterfalls.
The site covered 844 square kilometers. It was first declared a national park way back in 1982. The park enjoys many beautiful forests and has a wide range of wildlife, mountains, cold waterfalls, grasslands, cliffs, etc.
The park is home to more than 400 butterfly species. There are spots in the park where you can find hundreds of butterflies. They flock together near mineral deposits, streams, puddles, and ponds.
Also, the park is home to a wide variety of birds, reptiles, mammals, and other species. Some mammals at the park include elephants, tigers, wild dogs, deer, and gaur. You can also view kingfishers, oriental pied hornbills, dusky broadbills, Siamese firebacks, and eared pittas.
Pang Sida is also a place for conservation. Not so long ago, in 2005 and 2006, the Royal Thai Forest Service and Crocodile Management Association in Thailand reintroduced more than 20 Siamese crocodiles back into their natural habitat at the park.
One of the most visited sites in the park is the 10-meter-high Pang Sida Waterfall. And there are other waterfalls too.
