I liked the video, thanks. Very informative. Also I massively appreciate you not saying a virtual assistant’s name (I work from home and have your video in the background) so you didn’t wake any of my helpers up lol
Thanks! Glad you enjoyer the video! And I know the horror of watching videos and triggering my virtual assistant left and right... so when I make videos and must say her name, I mute the audio so as to not cause the same horrors to others!
This is such a fantastic review! I was especially impressed with the mopping performance! I mean wow! Coming from a cheap old Eufy model this is on a whole different level! Thanks so much for the review! Also thanks for being considerate and not triggering my home assistants!
Thanks! Glad you found the video helpful! If you do end up deciding to order it, would greatly appreciate if you do that through the affiliate link in the description. By doing so you’d be helping support the channel!
@@RawansReviews dang… I just ordered before reading this. I’m sorry haha. Is it possible to add the affiliate link retroactively or would I have to cancel the order and re order? If so, it’s too late. I’m sorry haha
No worries! Unfortunately it has to be before purchase, won't take effect retroactively. But that's alright, next Amazon purchase ;) Thanks anyway, and hope you enjoy your new S7!
As someone who has been working from home for the past decade and who has a dog and two children I can say that for us all robots are useless. I tried irobots back in the day, later aeg and just now returned the dreame flagship model. The problem is automation doesn’t work well in a dynamic/human environment. It probably works best in industrial settings. We haven’t tried any manual wet dry vacuum cleaners and will give the roborick flexi pro a shot. Because ultimately we don’t mind cleaning the house. We are just annoyed fiddling with, moving around and cleaning all the equipment. So a solution that keeps things compact, handy and easy to clean is all we need. I imagine 2 things could break it for us: 1) the vacuum starting to stink so badly that it feels like its spreading dirt rather than cleaning it and 2) the machine breaking because its made in china.
Newer robots are definitely better at dynamic environments, with their LiDAR and cameras and AI capabilities-but if these are not working for you and don’t mind cleaning, you’d get far better cleaning performance from wet/dry vacuums than you ever can from a robot. I did a bunch of recent reviews of some of the latest wet/dry vacuums. Check out the latest videos on my channel they might be of help. Cheers!
That's a good question. I personally haven't experienced that in the few months I've been using it. Having said that, I can't comment on long run and you raise a very valid point.
Nice review! I am curious what settings you used for your vacuum & mop tests? (ie. balanced, turbo, etc.) I am also curious what suction power & mop intensity settings you like for your day to day usage?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! For my daily use, I have the vacuum on balanced and mop on intense water level. I feel that's a good balance of performance and sound level. I set carpet boost on so it kicks into higher suction when on carpets. For the tests, if my memory is serving me well, I had the settings on default (so balanced suction / moderate water).
I wish I'd seen this video before buying my roborock S7 Max Ultra - if only to get you the affiliate credit. Sorry I missed that. Anyway, I've had mine for about 3 weeks now, and the wet path it creates behind as it goes, has gone from the full width to just a couple 2-3" streaks. I've got it set to max water use. I've hand cleaned the original mop. I've even presoaked the pad (despite the dock cleaning it before it starts). I'm using the roborock cleaner at the prescribed rate. Yet, my tile floors end up with wet streaks instead of the original full width. Have you found that to happen with yours over time? Are you still happen 8 months later?
I haven't experienced that on my unit. And I've been using it since that review came out. Perhaps get in touch with Roborock and see what they have to say?
I have had mine for 6 months and love it. No problem with water streaking. I do occasionally have to remove strands of long hair from the edge of the roller. No big deal!
What about wet solids? I didn't see any tests like that. It can vacuum dry stuff and mop pure liquids, but what about soggy chunks? Will it handle my kids dropping cornflakes from their cereal bowls? Also, I'd be emptying that bag every day or two. At $5 each, that is going to exceed the cost of the Roborock pretty quickly. Is there any way to empty and reuse the bags?
It’s not meant to be a wet/dry vacuum. So I wouldn’t count on it on going over liquids. For that look into something like the Dyad Pro. Dry chunks of reasonable size should be fine.
How much manual work is involved in emptying the bins? I'm looking to upgrade from a 2-in-1 cordless vacuum where I have to rinse out the dirty water tank regularly and I'm hoping for an option that's as easy as empty and replace the tank
Not a lot of work. If you're talking about the dust bin, you just remove and replace the bag--quick and easy. The dirty water tank is quick and easy too, pour out the dirty tank (and optionally refill and pour out again to rinse it out, for good measure).
Doesn't, but I find after 2 hours, mine is dry. Put your hand on the map after some time drying, do you feel it warm? If not, there might be something wrong with your heating module.
What's the name of the app to download on the iPhone? I just bought this vac and hope to receive it within the week. It's replacing a Roomba i7plus, which has no mop, plus I want something with more suction for the carpet.
I know this says it only supports 2.4GHz, but do you know if it can tease that out of a 5G internet? The Yeedi was able to connect to my Verizon 5G internet without me separately exposing the 2.4GHz band. Also, what happens on the multifloor functionality when it needs to reload water or charge on a level where the dock is not located? Does it just alert you and you manually take it to the dock and back up to the other level? Thanks for the great review.
Excellent questions, but I’m afraid I can’t confirm either. I was disappointed in how it handled WiFi networks-didn’t have the same issues with my Roborock Dyad Pro. So if I were to guess, I would say you might need to expose the 2.4 GHz band. I also unfortunately don’t have multiple levels so can’t confirm that either. I would hope it would alert you in these cases. You get alerted when the dock water tank is empty. But no idea if it also triggers an alert when the robot tank is empty or that if there’s even a sensor there. My apartment isn’t large enough for it to empty the robot tank in one run. Great questions, but I apologize I can’t be of more help.
@@RawansReviews I am picking one up in the next couple of hours. I doubt I'll set up multiple floors today, but I will update on the wifi later today (hopefully).
@@RawansReviews it connected to the Verizon 5G like a champ...no messing around necessary. What a relief. Will update on multifloor when I get to it. It's on a mapping run now and I can already tell this is light years ahead of the Yeedi Mop Station Pro. It's like they aren't even in the same category. That said, I do think my Yeedi is defective, but the features are mind blowingly better even if it were operating properly.

The water tank in robot cannot be removed. Will it be a problem in a long run like smell? Since you cannot clean the water tank in robot????
That's a good question. I personally haven't experienced that in the few months I've been using it. Having said that, I can't comment on long run and you raise a very valid point.
Very interesting! We are iRobot Roomba users but this seems much better since it mops as well (dual action) interesting features!
Indeed! Was a Roomba user in the past as well, but over the last few years, the competition has really left iRobot quite far behind.

So what if you only have 5g WiFi? 🤔
You’d have to open up 2.4 GHz on your network. FYI a lot of smart home devices only connect to 2.4 GHz networks..
