@santis142 it depends on the intensity and the reps/sets you are performing. It is not that easy to plan and create a weightlifting plan. A bodybuilder just plans one time in a year. one plan and thats it. allways the same reps and sets. But a weightlifting coach is planing every week, every day. As I said: it is very difficult to explain. That's the reason why there aren't that much weightlifting coaches. It is a long learning process to get through.
@olympicstyles Actually there is no system of training to develop weightlifters in the U.S. The Polish system is based on the fomer Soviet Union's. Polish coaches based their system on the biomechanical research of Soviet scientitst's and coaches. This is evident since Zygmunt Smalcerz is now the resident coach in the U.S. and the lifters are getting drilled in proper technique and a volume most of them have never performed in training.
@santis142 different intensity, different aimes (speed, strength etc) and a much better planing. No bodybuilder even knows about the weightlifting training method. Just ask a bodybuilder about periodisation. They will not know anything about it. Or the MAZ (Makrozyklus). You can not compare bodybuilding with weightlifting.
