Yeeeeeeees they must. "Lets Stay Together" is almost like a national couples love anthem. A definite must listen to. My all time favorite from my favorite soul singer. Sooooooooo good!
I grew up in the early 60's and the music then and into the 70's was so varied, rock, soft rock, country, blues, soul and everything else that it was a magical time and Al was right there!
Nice! The great Al Green. This one is probably my favorite with all the change ups in tempo. Let's Stay Together, Love and Happiness, and many others in his catalog are worth a listen whether y'all do a reaction, or not.
Al Green is baby-making music - you should listen to more of his music. Thank you for all your hard work and wonderful, heartfelt commentary. You are loved and appreciated.
Yes Mam... Rhythm & Blues. Al Green, the Manhattans, the O'Jays, Marvin Gaye with Tammi Terelle 60's then Marven Gaye after Tammi died 70's, so many great groups, but the Manhattans are my all time favorite. Get ready for extra loving after hearing these songs grrwlllll lol
I'm so surprised that you guys never reacted to Al Green. He was the No.1 soul artist in the early 70's.....hugely popular among music critics and public. One of my all-time favorite Soul singers....his vocals is masterful!!! Also I recommend you guys react to "Love and Happiness." Great reactions from you Andrei & Dominicka!!!!
Every single genre in the 70’s advanced in huge steps. Growing up that era generated so many people with eclectic taste. My CD and vinyl collection attests to this .
The 70s is the pinnacle of music, in all genres, but dang the R&B and sweet soul especially Philly soul is beyond tops, thank yall for listening to our music. 😊😊
In the 60's Growing up near Detroit the Motor City, I was raised on Motowns best,👌 so of course I couldn't help but love ❤😉Al Green in the 70's he was one of the best singer's. Check out "Let's Stay Together" and "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart " ❤ Peace ✌️ and Love❤️ your 70 year old forever hippie Gary 😊 great reaction👍don't need to be back in the day because you're enjoying it in now!😉
🇬🇧 Now this is my Kinda music, I just love it. The 70s were just the best. Now you have have to react to Al's "Let's Stay Together" & "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart"❤🎵🎶🎼❤️
Thanks for doing this one! I grew up in the 60’s and 70’s. Listened to a wide variety of music. R&B/Soul included. Please react to “If You Don’t Know Me By Now”, by Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. Early 70’s r&b gem! 😁
Nobody does it better than the Reverend Green! The '70s was not all a bed of roses. NYC became a hellhole of crime. The Vietnam War was still raging. You had the Arab Oil Embargos of '73 and '74 where you could get in line for hours to get gas. Fuel prices soared. Inflation was through the roof. Leisure suits and polyester invaded fashion. Also, we were being relentlessly tortured with Disco music (which was the worst of all).
I grew up in the 70's and I guess for the most part people think music of their era is the best. It seemed to mean as time passed songs had less meaningful lyrics, less effort and musicality placed into the arrangements and bands and singers less talented as far as playing instruments. I know there are exceptions and talented people today but not like in the variety and talent we had back then. The more reaction channels I watch it seems the tend to agree with my thoughts.
Now it's time to go down the R "N" B rabbit hole. Need to listen to Marvin Gaye "Let's Get it On" or "What's Going On." Also The Temptations, "Papa Was A Rolling Stone."
@@MerchantOfAlba Just saw your reaction to Stevie Wonder "As" and it was beautiful. The chemistry between you two can't be hidden, and it's a beautiful thing to see each day. Love the raw emotion you share often.
Another great soul singer. "Let's Stay Together" was Al Green's biggest hit. But he had a lot of great songs in the 70's including "Take Me To The River", "Tired Of Being Alone", "I'm Still In Love With You", "Love & Happiness", "For The Good Times" etc. He also became a pastor after facing a tragedy in his life (girlfriend's suicide) & performed gospel music for a time.
The smiles on your faces tells it all! ❤😊 Al is a legend!
You guy's need to check out his song, Let's Stay Together.
Oh yes...a MUST !
Yeeeeeeees they must. "Lets Stay Together" is almost like a national couples love anthem. A definite must listen to. My all time favorite from my favorite soul singer. Sooooooooo good!

Al Green could do some incredibly beautiful things with his voice.
Great reaction that one hit you
He goes somewhere up high and he takes you with him 😂 beautiful.
Great reaction. As much as I love Rock, Al Green is the equal to any performer. His songs and voice hit.
Check out the clip of him doing this jam on Soul Train. He’s pimped out with hot pants,a purse and a fly brim.
70's was a Smorgasbord of flavors. Everyday I woke up wondering what new thing I would hear today. It was glorious.
'Let's Stay Together' was his big one, but 'Simply Beautiful' shows what he could really do with that voice.
You can't go wrong with the Rev. Al Green.
His song "Love and Happiness" is one you'll enjoy.
so much great music from this style and era. hope you listen to all of it
Beautiful song 🎵 ❤️

Some of the artists who came out of the 70s, were one of the best we've heard! So at least some music was great! 💚
