Really looking forward to seeing this project built and watching the review! There is very little information or other posts that I can find on this frame so I’m eager to see what you put out 🙂
Nice frame, I would love to see that VB puts such aero fork on a more all round road bike frame. Many brands are going towards such design and it should be helping with too much weight penalty
Very interesting. Will be curious to hear about fitting yourself on it, starting with picking the right size. I have a giant propel with aero bars, but i just can't find a position in which i can really push down the watts. Fitting --> all the bits at the front end to change stack, reach, tilt, width, inward rotation. As well as the fore aft of the seat post, ofc. Get an obscenely big chain ring, at least 55T, aim to stay in the middle of the cassette when you're at 40-45kmh, because that should be your cruising speed. On something like that, on the flat with neutral wind, it will be very hard to go under 35kmh.
@@klein-concept hehe. A TT rig that doesn't fit is incredibly frustrating, I hope you got all the adjustment you need in that box! Don't try to go low and angle the bars up as a starting point. But that's just a starting point. I guess depending on the fore aft of the pads, that may dictate your saddle position. Ideally though you'd first set saddle fore aft then adjust the pads. If you're shaped normally you'll be fine. I'm tall with long legs. Girls like it, but bike fitting is tricky. Good luck!
man all that needs to happen now is for ltwoo to bring out some TT shifters/brakes for their ERX derailleurs. Cool frame through, definitely might get one later as well but I need to find an electronic groups for it. right now I ride mechanical shifting on my TT bike but im not super happy with it.
That would be a great idea. To have a budget friendly electronic TT groupset from L-Twoo. But even for Sram the documentation is a bit odd to find the right components. But maybe its just me not looking properly 🫣

Hey Michael :) Klein was a company that were experts in building bikes from aluminium, just saying. Besides that, phenomenal vid as always. Hope your channel blows up soon, so you get the clout you deserve. Keep those juicy builds coming
Ah thanks for clarification. Still need to do a bit more research on them. And thanks a lot. Glad you enjoy the vids. Hope once spring properly shows up people will start watching even more bike related content 🤜🤛
I had a Klein back in the day. Deep metallic plum red. B4 they went cheap, Cannondale used to build similar frames also with totally smoothed wells. I think Trek took over Klein but it might have been Cannondale.
Im interested to see how the paintjob holds up. Also bought a velobuild custom painted frame a few years ago and the paintjob was rubbish. On the slightest contact it started to flake and chip. The frame itself was good tho.
Dieser Rahmen von Velobuild kam ja for free hab aber bei denen schon einige andere gekauft und da kann man beim versand eine option auswählen in der schon alles inbegriffen ist. Dauert ne woche länger aber lohnt sich.

Hello Michael, I've become a big fan of yours, especially for your long guide videos for bike builds. I've ordered myself a elves falath evo for my first bike build. I'm currently on the fence choosing a groupset, after watching your long winspace and yoeleo builds. First I wanted to go with the new 105 Di2, but you presented the L-Twoo Rx quite nicely. My only gripe is, where did you buy the groupset? On aliexpress there seems to be countless options, no battery etc. You currently get the 105 Di2 for 1000 Euro and if I think about it, I only found offers for the L-Twoo for around 600 - 700 Euros. If you compare both of these offers, the Di2 includes a crankset and a cassette. So the Di2 seems to be the better offer, I think? My next concern is regarding spare parts. With the shimano system I know where I can buy jockey wheels and brake pads. Or are these compatible with L-Twoo aswell? Do you need to buy the parts for installing the brake house separatly (olive, pin, nut) or are these also included like Di2? Last question is regarding the trimming function of the front derailleur. With Shimano there's a auto trimm function, which had to be patched out with L-Twoo as I've read. How is this function implemented with the L-Twoo? Sorry for all of my questions, but like I've mentioned it's my first bike build. I wish you a happy easter and greetings from Osnabrück, Germany.
Hey, glad to hear you enjoy the videos. Let me try to answer your questions. So first of all i like the erx a lot. Some parts like the brakes, pads, olives, pins are interchangeable between both. So that would be easy but if you can find a 105 di2 for 1000 euro that might be the smarter choice as with the erx you might only safe 100 euros after adding cassette and crankset. That said there are some things that i prefer in the erx over a 105. First there is the looks. i think in general it is a really good looking groupset and second the possibility to adjust the rear derailleur for every sprocket separately makes tuning the gears a lot easier especially when you are using cheaper Chinese lightweight cassettes. And last point is the possibility to also use it as 11 speed us great as it makes it compatible with all my wheel setups that i have so far. The trim function still exists but is not automatic. Pressing the front derailleur button on the shifter a 2nd time moves it into the trimmed position. And to add where i bought it. I got my first one from the Ltwoo official store on Aliexpress. Hope this helps hehe. 🤜🤛
@@klein-concept Thank you for answering my questions. L-Twoo states that you can only run a max 32t cassette. Did you try a 34t one? Because I like my 1:1 ratio with my other bikes.
This may be my next bike. I have been patiently saving for the big brand TT bike which this is an (obvious) reproduction of, but... the prices are just getting too bonkers lately. Am pretty much at the point where I am turning against the big brands out of principle. The one oversight which disappoints me slightly is they omitted the storage options. They should have included the internal top tube bento (feed) box at the very least, if not also the internal storage box on the down tube. Although, that might have made it just a little too obvious at that point that this is a replica. Still, that top tube storage would be nice. I wonder if they plan to submit this bike for UCI approval, because by rules you can not have internal storage (or the ISO Speed), which is why only the triathlon version has the storage on the big brand (there is a lesser known UCI TT version of Speed Concept which omits both storage boxes).
Good point regarding the storage boxes. But i dont think Velobuild frames go for UCI approvals. At least not to my knowledge. But i get your point regarding prices of the major brands these days. I think they pushed it quite a bit too far so that a lot of people are looking for alternatives elsewhere. Lets see how easy this one will come together.
The go around could be to have mount holes (Hong FU FM 109-D has these). Not as nice (or aero watts saving) as having the internal compartment, but at least allows for an after market solution. Not sure if VeloBuild is looking for that feedback from you- but there it is all the same 🙂
Very nice. Did not expect a TT build, but very interesting. Looking forward to the build.
Was also happy to see them reaching out with the TT frame. Will be good to work on something different.

did you have to size up? canyon speedmax's reach for size S is 413 but velobuild's reach for size M is 411
I think this is due to asian sizes on these frames. I only looked at the geometry chart to ballpark the right size.
