OUTSTANDING! I’ve was eager to see your build. Love that you did a Force build as that’s what I’m looking to do with this frame too. Really like the attention you put in to the cable and brake installation. I’m looking forward to seeing and hearing your ride review video. Well done!
Going to be patiently waiting for a longer term review on this frame. TT/Triathlon bike market is outrageous. I may go this route for my first tri bike as it would be significantly cheaper and probably better than what most of what is out on the used market. Another upside is spec-ing out the components to my liking vs buying whatever is out there and having to change stuff out. Awesome video!
@@klein-concept That is fine with me and I'm sure others can agree. I see so many chinese carbon frame builds/reviews but it is all road/gravel, nothing in the TT/triathlon space. Most of what is for sale on ali express is using the same mold but it is hard to know what is quality.
I have been waiting for this to come out since you got the frame. Eagerly checking back several times a week. Glad the asembly went smoothly for you with minimal problems. A little sanding of the brake faces seems like a good trade off for such quality at a good price. Also, that looks like an extremely high end cockpit area for a budget brand. Its pretty common for even expensive TT bikes to have really poorly designed cockpits, whether its just very exposed cable routing, cheap'ish armrests or poorly designed risers, etc... This really is pretty top notch. Hard to believe a budget brand would spec parts this good. I am now tempted to skip the name brand and go with this, especially since Velobuild seems to offer custom paint which I was going to have done anyway with the big brand (starting with a 'T').
Hehe glad you enjoyed this one and that it inspired you. Definitely seems like real good value for money so far. But i still need to ride it properly to see what i think of it. I agree that the cockpit feels pretty luxurious for that price point. 🤜🤛
Very promising. These bikes are all about bike fit. To push watts in that position, you have to have the right position, which means the right frame size, saddle fore aft, and, crucially, the right spacers at the front. What kind of adjustability is there in the front end?
@@pierrex3226 still need to find that position. In the front you remove and add spacers for the hight, move the whole arm rests front and back as well as space them out sideways separately. 🤜🤛
@@klein-concept ideally, make a shorter video on that topic. How much height can be adjusted (I assume you can't heighten the stem, right? Or can you? Because there's the question of the height of the skis, but also the height of the base bar), how much fore aft in the skis, whether there are ways to angle the skis (everybody is on praying mantis position now, ie sloping up at varying angles rather than horizontal bars), so typically there are flat spacers, and one or two angled spacers (horizontal, incline 1, incline 2). There's also the question of left and right spacing of the skis (maybe less critical for people on a budget). So if there's ample play in all dimensions, I think this frame is a win. I have done a lot of riding in really aero position, you don't need the stiffest frame or whatever. But you need a frame that lets you push watts in an aero position. A note on how annoying/easy it is to tweak the position over time having / without having to recable the whole bike every time would also be very helpful.
