Hi just got my Ducar woodchipper at home, looking at your video with regards to the hitch, I transferred the hitch to the opposite end, swapped ends with the handle, I will need to try it on the ATV when I get this unit up to the cottage, just thought I would pass it on, great video

I've rented twice, dealing with silver maple and some red oak,disapointed by these points.
On the negative sides to improuve...
sometimes, the leafs went unshredded the machine had tendency to clog so, I wish I could have some quick release bolts for easy acces to the chute and the machine`s entry .
Why only 16hp while we could spend a little more on 21hp engine?
On the positive side...
It`s quite compact and light ,no need to rent a trailer to move it tho the jobsite.
Easy maintenance, relatively simple machine.
Easy to use .
Quite chep to buy around 2000$ cnd before taxes, only 130-150 $ to rent for a day.
Over all Am quite agree with you, a decent machine at a decent cost.😊

I’m about to change my chipper. This one looks nice. But I can do leaves too with mine. Can this Ducar chipper can do leaves nicely?

hey thanks for watching...
well to answer ....I've put branches with leaves still on and it did mulch them....I've never really tried just putting leaves by them selves .
for this I would shoot them an email if you can....
but I don't see why it wouldn't...next time I'm out with it I'll have to try it.....

I have the ducar stump grinder. Not the biggest fan of it tbh.
This looks better though for sure same engine but this has key start!

How is this unit working out for you so far? Any issues and is it holding up to large branches in diameter? What's the overall width of this unit from outer edges of wheels? I'm hoping to get it through narrow gates. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

21"x28"x37" are the dimensions . will you be towing behind atv or lawn tractor if so as long as you can get those through the gate then you will be fine.. I'd say the largest branch has been around 6-7 inch thick, however it will bog down as its cutting it so I grab the branch and allow rpm to catch up to prevent it from stalling out . still cuts everything I fed it though. very happy with the unit.

how does one change the oil on this unit ? the drain plug seems to be in an un reachable position behind a steel plate? unless there is another outlet

Hey looking at the unit now
The drain plug is at the bottom of the engine on the side of the spark plug
If yournlooking at the pull cord just past that
It even has a slot cut out to allow oil to drain once plug is removed
