They provide a stable platform for the bike, allowing cyclists to easily access all bike parts for repairs and maintenance. They also provide a comfortable working height, allowing the cyclist to work on the bike without bending over or kneeling. Bicycle repair stands also make it easier to clean and lubricate the bike and adjust the brakes and gears.

    My passion for bikes started when my parents opened a shop in the 1980s called Parker Bikes (we were located in Parker, Colorado). My love for cycling has continued since then, in my work and with my hobbies of road cycling and mountain biking. After my parents’ shop closed, I worked for other bike shops (including Lee’s Cyclery in Fort Collins), where I built and sold bikes, fixed and tuned up bikes, and managed inventory.
    I love working on bikes and want to share my passion for cycling with others. So, next time you’re talking cycling with someone and wondering how to get started or where to go from here, you can think, “I know a guy!”

    There are a lot of good repair stands out there. These are what I have in my shop and use at events. What do you use and like about them?

    man, my PCS-1 stand is over 20 years old. I remember getting it from price point! haha. Thanks for taking me down memory lane.

      I do like the spring loaded clamp on this one. Very consumer friendly! Price Point, that's an old one. They shut down in 2016. Here an article in BRAIN: www.bicycleretailer.com/retail-news/2016/07/29/pricepoint-shuts-down-e-commerce-business-owner-moves#.ZEqgdS-B2X0

    I still have and use my PCS1. I’ve built & restored many of my old school 1990 bikes. A legit stand. My buddy has 3 of those Feedback/Ultimate stands. I’ll pass on that crummy clamp system they have.

      If you can't afford it or it seems too much. I would just start with the tray and add the tools you like or use. As a mechanic I love too many tools but in reality, there is a top 5 or 10 that would cover most needs. Thanks for watching and enjoy your new stand.

    nothing like a regular stand, yet I think to just hoist from the ledge, not stable but at a convenient height, I suppose;

    Is £360 GBP VERY EXPENSIVE for a low end model thats nuts!

      I've seen them used for around $150 usd. Sometimes new is way overpriced.
