You are one smart cookie. Those are some great tips and i relly liked the idea to use a rubber coated work glove fpr stitching as my fingers alwsys hurt from gripping and pushing the needles after a while. Great tutorial and end product.
I was very dubious at first and almost didnt watch it all. But I am sure glad I did. Once you see her stitch it up, it all makes sense. Thanks for the tips. Also, I cant believe she used so many linings, whew. I thought one was a pain.
I just came across your channel and love the explanations! I have been watching leather working tutorials for a while and yours are among the best I have seen so far. Thank you for sharing and great work!
THIS IS SO HELPFUL!! I really want to try make a bag out of leather jacket. So to add volume, you glued down EVA then Webtex then lining? Then the bottom of the bag is VXP then SL then lining? Very informative ❤😭
Hi, thank you for such an informative video. I would like to purchase the synthetic leather and the VXP, but I can’t seem to find it in USA. Do you know where I can purchase it?
Wish i could find the exact name of the one you call 'synthetic leather' that you used to re-inforce the bottom of the bag. Here in the UK, i could only see faux leather or leatherette, which isn't the same as feature in your video. But thanks for this awesome tutorial❤❤
There are various names to same material. Synthetic leather, faux leather, leatherette, rexine all are same. It’s basically rubbery plastic bonded with cloth.
I'm glad that it was helpful! I think it would be better if you could skive and add stiffeners. I do this because of shape and weight. But that depends on your taste^^
I love the information you share and I’m very thankful. But I really wish you wouldn’t play music while you’re talking. Even if the music volume is reduced while you’re talking, it’s very distracting and hurts my head while trying to concentrate on what you’re saying. We aren’t here to listen to music we are here to listen to you. The music volume even when you aren’t talking is too loud. Since I don’t know when you will be talking it’s not easy to mute the video. I just wanted to say thanks but also give you feedback.
