Wow it’s 2023 and I only now find this video! Thank you very much for these lessons. Very good clear and easy to understand instructions. I have been trying to work out how to use contrast pipeing and here you make it so easy ! Thank you so much I made my first small purse with piped seams and it was your voice and video that helped me understand how to do it. Thank you. 😊
Solid video! 10 mins to cover 3 nice techniques with enough info. Well done!
Thank you for showing me how to add the piping to my leather items ~ been trying to figure out how to make this process easier ~ you’ve helped me out tremendously ~ much appreciated!!

Wow, this was so beautiful, art, magnificent. Excellent tutorial, it truly made me tear up. That first piping, genius! So simple yet so beautiful, not even done watching. Allows me to open my horizons.
You are a blessing to me. I knew how to do the stripe construction and just recently the piping. But the briefcase construction I could not get to grips with it, it was so confusing to me🤣🤣But today sir the way you explained it.......the penny finally dropped😎😄Thank you!!!!!
What a great tutorial. Thank you taking the time to make it and for your thoughtfulness for sharing it.
Thanks
That was an incredible demonstration, thank you so much👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I like the format of showing us how you do it. You are an excellent craftsman. Hats off

Also like number 3 very much, wish to see it more out there
thank you for making this :) very nice!
That second method you used is very interesting ~ I will have to test this a few times to see if I can manage it ~ Thank you for showing me!
He did the second method wrong. Don't do it that way, it won't be able to have much load bearing capacity.
Great explanation, thanks for this video!

Merci pour ce tuto!
Ya i did laurn something, as the piping one gives me an idea as to how i can ad a pipe along the top portion of my saddlebag leather panels that i tooled and added to the saddlebags lit flap ,how to make the piping ,as there is a gap between the lid flap and the panel that dirt can get in ,as my Chicago screws dont make the 2 pieces tight enough,. hmm hope that came out right .lol
Thank you
you should put: types of leather gusset on the title
Done ! Thanks
Thank you for sharing

Me ha sido muy útil . Muy bien explicado. Muchas gracias por compartirlo.
Gracias

Good!!!!
Super! If possible, could you please show a photo of situations (bags) in which each gusset is used…? Thnx from beginner.
You could go on shopping sites and observe bags on there :) I use Netaporter, Shopbop and Matches !
Thank you. What are the blocks you cut on make of? The black one and the white one.
Danke :-) das ist ein tolles Video
Thank you so mutch. This was werry help full.
Thank you glad to read this
It is great thank you for sharing…❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Cheers!
When using the third technique how do you prevent the stitched area from creating a "ridge" on the outside of the bag? I have made a bag using this gusset style and you can see where the gusset lays on the inside ( from the outside) it kind of pushes the outside leather.
Thanx alot😊
Maravilhoso. Obrigada.😊
THANKS FOR SHARING :>
My pleasure!!
Nice tutorial, just saw ur tutorial now.tge stripe construction gusset can be use for what kind of bag plz? Just a little bit of confuse nor can u plz make videos on my to use the side plz
Great information. Truly art. Subscribed. Where can I get a skiver like that? Link?
nice work
Thanks
I find that when stiching gussets that have a large curve in the corners, the holes on the front panel begins to deviate alignment from the gusset holes. I'm trying to discover a technique to regain hole alignment.
@Theleathercraftacademy, what types of leather and weights are best for a nice flexible gusset? I want to add a gusset to a 3oz pocket protector. Thx :D
I will try for sure the stripe construction (my fav I think.) and the piping. 😊 Thank you. But normally I saw at 3mm from the edges and also with stitches from 3/4mm it could be a problem? 🤔
Hi, that should be ok, I stitch 2.5 from the edge. 0.5 mm won't make a huge difference.
@@Theleathercraftacademy Thank you. 😊
woooooow
What thickness leather do you use?
What thread are you using?
Thank you for amazing tutorial! Btw can you tell me what is the name of the technique that you stitching with awl and 2 needles? I would like to know how you make holes with awl while you are stitching!
I´d like to know the same!
Saddle stitches
It's called Saddle Stitching. There is a great tutorial on it by Don Gonzales, he's a saddle maker who gives online tutorials like this.
Молодец, первый раз вижу как экономно расходуют кожу.
谢谢!
Merci beaucoup...
De rien !
Wonderful tutorial! What type of glue is that? Where do I buy it?
Contact adhesive, you can get it from any DIY store !
You know you are absolutely awesome right??????
👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍
So, sometimes when I saddle stitch, the second needle will go through the line that is already in the hole. How do I avoid this??
Yes, if I understand correctly what you are saying, I think using the first needle or an awl to guide the second needle you will solve this problem
@@Theleathercraftacademy what a Greta tutorial. I watched this with my son. So appreciate this.
@@Theleathercraftacademy so, the hole is too small for both needles or an Awl and a needle. I just don't pull it very far test it and undo if it happens. If it wears out Its close to the needle and I just redo the needle connection.
@@Theleathercraftacademy oh my gosh! That's it..so much easier. It's going well. Now to try these gussets. Love your videos.
Good!!
👍👍🤝🤝🤝👌👌
Thank you
Maravilhoso. Obrigada.😊
