I don’t get why Lego only releases Ep. 2 sets that are based on Geonosis. What about the Coruscant chase from the beginning or anakin and the tusken raider on tatooine? We‘ve only gotten this once and a loooong time ago. And most important: Kamino. What about a clone cantina or a shooting range or something like that? Cool sets with only clones and maybe a kaminoan guy
@@realkhalidkazmiri if you think about it, there isn’t really much else to do other than Geonosis. It gave the most options to make sets out of. For Coruscant, a remake of the bounty hunter chase would be nice. An MBS Dex’s diner would be cool. All there was on Tatooine was the tusken raider encounter (again, a remake would be awesome). Maybe a homestead diorama. Maybe a diorama set from Naboo. Padmé’s Nubian would be awesome, but they would absolutely make it based around when they landed at the droid factory. As far as Kamino goes, most of what you’d get would be clone wars-based. The most you could get a playset out of is the Obi-Wan/Jango fight scene. Again, maybe dioramas are an option. But with all that said, that’s really it. Not a ton of playset potential outside Geonosis.
@@jfragale03 It's pretty fair when you think about it. Obi-wan gets to Geonosis practically halfway through the movie. But even then, they're still not fully capitalizing off it. Where's an arena set? How about the CIS conference room? Techno Union starship? Diamond-class shuttle? Core ship? SPHAT? Droid factory? Dooku's Solar Sailor(Ep II based)? A full-sized Republic command center? Plenty of Geonosis sets to still be made alongside the limited Coruscant, Kamino, Naboo and Tatooine options.
I wouldn’t say there is not a single bad set from Rogue One, because don’t forget, there is Sergeant Jyn Erso, which is a set pretty iconic for being well, a really bad set.
Ngl the clone wars movie isn't that great it is carried by the incredible tv show. The main reason why I don't love it is because it was made before they did a complete rewrite of Ahsoka's character and mainly followed the plot of retreiving Rotta. Though the sets that came out of it were pretty good.
It would be great if LEGO focused on non-film sets from other SW media. I hoped LEGO would do an OG battlefront battle pack with all the original classes and skins from there as an anniversary since the game's release.
Imo the two best SW movies with the best sets are Rogue One bc it just has a special place in my heart and ATOC because of the sick 2002-2003 wave which I'm nearing completion of!!! :))
7:35 I agree. Revenge of the Sith having the best play sets makes a lot of sense, since it's basically the only Star Wars movie that is packed with war, back to back. Every other movie had 1 main battle, but Revenge of the Sith had battles and duels everywhere like you said 😂
Just curious, why do you like the force awakens? I’ve tried so hard to like that movie but I just can’t. While it’s not as blasphemous as last Jedi and rise of skywalker, I think it didn’t do Han Solo justice and that’s my biggest issue. I also HATE how Rey beats Kylo when she’s never held a lightsaber before and kylo has been training for years. Also, I’d love a video of you ranking the movies I’d love to hear your opinions!
For me it’s good enough choice that they made. Harrison Ford didn’t want to do more and it good compromise. In hindsight sequel trilogy is straight ass but at the time it was a good idea when force awakened came out it we didn’t know that. Son kill father to become the dark side. Pretty good concept and they didn’t kill him just for goof. It was shocked and in character and purpose of the grand story. They didn’t make it bad. Your favorite character dying doesn’t mean it’s bad. Hans was supposed to die in Empire anyway and that was a worse ending if he didn’t get brought back in Return of Jedi. And his appearance in Kylo Ren mind in third movie was great as well. To this day force awaken is not a bad movie for me. The rest was trash but on its own it’s a good decent modern version of New Hope. So what if it reuse death star. George Lucas reuse it anyway Rey beating Kylo is eehhh but he got shot by Chewie Bowcaster and she was running half the fight. Might have to go watch it again tho
I loved this whole video! It's nice to get perspective on both the quality and quantity for each of the episodes. I am curious what the UCS vendor did to affect episode 3's spot. I feel like it is a rock solid set so how many more UCS episode 3 sets do you think it would take to bump it into the top three discussion?
6:05 I mean, Tatooine and Naboo are 3/4 of the movie. What other planets are there to make sets base off of? There’s nothing worth making on Coruscant. Maybe we could get more sets from the Trade Federation control ship, but that’s really it.
@Crazy-pl1lo tell me one eventful Jedi Temple scene from Phantom Menace that’s worthy of a playset, diorama, or UCS/MBS set. If we ever get any Jedi Temple set, it’s gonna be from AotC, RotS, or the Clone Wars.
11:00 don't mean to be a nerd, but in the examples you should've included the Tydirium class shuttle, easily one of the top 20 play sets, top 5 based off of endor.
I already have that set and it’s pretty good. It has some awesome play features and just has a really cool look. The 212th troopers, specifically their helmets aren’t that good but the clone gunner and phase 2 Commander Cody are great.
I think the movie the last jedi is underrated ok there is ennoying parts but the battles are really good and for me its better than attack of the clones or the phantom menace
No shit, the battles and visual effects from 2017 are better than 1999. The thing is that the prequels and cw build a universe while the sequels destroyed one lore-wise. Also the sequels are basically an incoherent copy of the originals.
Where would you put TCW movie though? The sets released from it and not the show include the Twilight, 2008 AT-TE, 2008 Gunship, V-19 Torrent, CA Tank Droid, Republic Attack Shuttle, and Magnaguard Starfigher.
You didn’t include the 2017 UCS Falcon for either TFA or ESB, that would have won over ESB for best sets for me easily (but I think the UCS AT-AT is a marvel of a Lego set and the imperial shuttle can’t compare to it)
My list of Films: Empire Strikes Back, Revenge of the Sith, Rouge One, Return of the Jedi, A New Hope, Attack of the Clones, The Phantom Menace, The Force Awakens, Solo, Rise Of Skywalker, & The Last Jedi.
First off, its not a bad list at all, think this can be made in many ways that I'd agree with. This is how I'd go: I'd move Ep3 to the first spot, as USC sets don't hold as much weight for me personally, and all the sets are just so so good and diverse. So many sets across all areas of the movie is just what every episode lineup should have. I feel like also the reason it doesn't get a clear number 1 for most is its been so long since a lot of them came out we don't remember it as fondly/some are dated by now standards. Also even with all the sets they made, they're are so many they can still make, and remake. Hopefully we get a lot more now that its the 20th anniversary. But with that being said, I would bump Ep4 to the second spot at least , as the MBS Cantina is that good. Plus like you said, all the fighters, then we have a couple falcons from it, multiple Star Destroyers, Sandcrawlers, even some fun side ones like the Skyhopper and Landing Craft. The only reason I don't have that number 1 is for not having much in terms of land vehicles/troopers, different array of characters. But we've gotten some great ones from it. This is where it gets tricky but now Ep 1 goes up to the 3rd spot. We get a bunch of iconic vehicles in this lineup with all the droid land vehicles (some of which to this day are the best lego has made), some droid ships, Mauls' ship, Naboo fighters and the Cruiser, podracers, gungan sub and other sets, flash speeder, Watto's shop, etc. Also the minifigs are so good from it too. THIS is a movie I'd actually want some USC stuff from. I almost put this number 2 but I feel like the crafts we get from ep4 are way more iconic. Another hot take but Ep 2 to the 4th spot. As little as the lineup is, you can make an argument there is no bad set other than that jedi/clone pack as it has 2 named characters. All the others in it are pretty much perfect. Even tho I agree with what you said that we don't have practically any based off of other scenes, the bounty hunter pursuit is one of my favs of all time. Also I'm putting it above 5 and 6 for the fact of a slight more variety/new additions. At this point Ep5 and Ep6 are almost a toss up. Id put Ep6 at 5 tho and Ep5 at 6, as Return of the Jedi has more variety in sets. My main issue with Ep5 is that other than the AT-AT, its not much else unique. Ngl, I think you didn’t stick to your own rules. If Rogue One has a 100% hit rate, it should be #1 since your basing the movie rankings on the sets. If it can’t go higher, then there has to be a threshold of X amount of sets for it to be in the ranking
sad how you just sorta glossed over the buildable characters for Rogue One, K2SO and the Death Trooper were some of the greatest SW sets that year and imo should've knocked Rogue One up a couple rankings. (I mean cmon, not including them in the set count "five for five" meanwhile theres 8 or 9 box sets on screen?)
This list is flawed in the fact that the older and more iconic movies like the OT will logically be placed at the top of the list due to the fact that they existed for so long that Lego has had decades to create multiple sets based on them as well as being higher in demand

2. Revenge of the sith
1. The Clone wars
Back in 2015, the hype for TFA had me, and i bought the first order transport. I bought it before i saw the movie, and afterwards, it sat untouched on my shelf for almost a decade.
Ngl, I think you didn’t stick to your own rules. If Rogue One has a 100% hit rate, it should be #1 since your basing the movie rankings on the sets. If it can’t go higher, then there has to be a threshold of X amount of sets for it to be in the ranking
You should rank Star Wars movies by the 13th vfx used or something stupid like that.
Ypu forgot the mechs from the Rogue One, including infamous Jyn Erso mech.
No offense but Return of the Jedi at 2nd is crazy
my first star wars lego set was the rise of skywalker pasaana speeder chase.
where is the Clone Wars movie????
sad how you just sorta glossed over the buildable characters for Rogue One, K2SO and the Death Trooper were some of the greatest SW sets that year and imo should've knocked Rogue One up a couple rankings.
Maybe but the line started in 99 when tpm released so it at least had a chance to have multiple ucs sets like the OT did.
the clone wars movie
I wishhh I got the first order transporter at the time. I’ve been trying to get it ever seems that
Where would the clone wars and all the Disney plus shows fit in!
Oh don’t hate me but I like the force awakens
They realeased sets from deleted scenes or concept why not make sets what havent been realeased because i think an atact would be really cool
What do you mean all of the attack of the clones sets are on geonosis what about obi wans Jedi starfighter from 2022
Bro there are 1000000000000% bad Rogue One sets. For example, the buildable Jyn Urso.
Under 2025 guys
I'v e said it a thousand times, the best sequel sets are better than the best prequel sets (same for the movies).
that’s your opinion
@@samuelohare6884 Thanks for the heads up... I was confused about it.
