When embedding your GMB map on home page, does it matter if it is on actual home page or footer? I currently have it on my footer so it displays on every page of my website.

I'm personally not a fan of having a GoogleMap on the Home Page due to negative performance impact and usually have this on the Contact Us Page, unless of course, its a One-Page design. This is a great Video to share with clients that question why I add certain elements on a page 🙂
I feel the tread off between having a google maps on the home page and the performance is well worth it. Most visitors will check your home page while only a few will click on your about us page. Another example would be “heating and air conditioning”. Could go after HVAC with this one, but what if heating and air conditioning are better separated out? Would love to hear your thoughts on this as I’m dealing with this as we speak. Thank you!
Find out which one of the two services is the most profitable one and optimise your home page for it. DO NOT try to rank your home page for both services as it won't work well unless google deems them to be very similar. To find out just do a search for "lawn care near me" and "landscaping near me" If the organic results are different then you should create separate pages. For HVAC there are many options available but once again your choice should be driven by what your client's most profitable service is. Depends on many factors. Location, relevance to the keyword being searched, google trying to present a more diversified results with new businesses, keyword is in the name of the business etc...

It's ok to have multiple H1 on a page if there is a logical reason for them. But you wouldn't want to have too many of them either otherwise it's going to make your page look weird
Are you talking about the meta title that shows up in search results? If this is the case it's because in many instances google rewrites the meta title in the results. Nothing you can do about it

Hi Luc, great video as always. At 2 mins 3 seconds you display a Map Pack. At the top of the map pack is a Google Ad with the Location extension activated for Rocky Mountain Outdoor Living. I haven't used Google Ads myself yet. My question is, will running Google Ads with the Location extension linked to your GBP, mean that you will always be top of the Map Pack with a sponsored listing as long as none of your competitors are running Google Ads with the Location extension? Have you done this for any of your clients? And if so is it worth the expense?
Thanks Dennis. I am not a google ads experts so I unfortunately can't really answer your question. I would assume that if you're the only business doing this in your area Google will likely include it in the results more often that not as they will be making money ;-) Definitely worth a try.
I have done this for client that have physical location and it really work for them, as most people feel that the business that appears first is the best. This ads basically generate more calls and direction request for the business, also I have noticed after a while the ranking of the business tend to move higher after running this type of ads.

You need to copy the scrip into the of your page. Make sure the content of your page matches as well
