    Love all the designs, but definitely number two is my favorite. It just really different and I love how clean it looks. Plus the rounded corners! Looks super unique!

    Too me all of them are worthy of being number #1. I like your judgement for picking the winner in that its nice and clean with the right touches of call to action buttons. What I like about #2 and #3 is the rounded edges and the arrows and pointers that matches the color scheme. Im sure that it was hard to pick a winner. Honestly, I would have picked #2 because of the complexity of the design and the uniqueness of the style. But #1 choice is perfect for the real estate industry.

    I particularly liked the designs of the first and second placed submissions.
    However, there is a glaring typo in the winning submission's call-to-action button in the hero section (you'd never know I was new to this!), which undermines the professionalism of the business. Easy to fix, but ...

  • @jurjenvanzijl7216
    @jurjenvanzijl7216 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I really think the designs need to be made more consistent.
    I think the second place was the most promising but
    Is having the most errors. The spacing in buttons, gaps between blocks, radius of the blocks, arrows not the same sizing… it is just all off and not the same. Also a lot of content is not aligned properly.
    As a designer it kills me to see that this is not mentioned.
    So that these designs are better made in the future.
    Again I think the second place was the most promising but first place was the best in having more consistency but was missing a footer. Also missing the yellow accents. It just looked not finished in my opinion.
    If these types of designes win these competitions it makes me a bit sad actually. It questions the lack of capability of all the other designers that enter the competition.
    I am not trying to be negative but I want all the designers be
    better next time and have a consistent eye for detail. Gaps, paddings, choice of text, radius, alignment, sizing of shapes and more.
    Good luck next time y’all.

      I kind of agree. I'd be interested in knowing your thoughts on the style of the designs. I think quite a lot of them felt like tech/SaaS websites and lost that real-estate edge which is what people expect from that industry. The site that got closest to achieving that "edge" in my opinion was the honourable mentioned, 4th place. I'd be interesting in hearing your thoughts.

    If they are resigning real websites, do any of the winners ever go to the company and say "Hey, I have already redesigned your website as part of a design challenge, and my design won -- would you be interested in having this design for x dollars?"

    Hey there! I've got a question: should I or should I not to mention "portfolio" section in my web as a newbie web design agency? (I mean I can upload projects of my contractors, but I guess clients will find out)

    • @PaytonClarkSmith

    Two spelling mistakes on the winner's landing page ('Bellow' and 'Huston')? As a potential client, that would ring alarm bells. What else is the designer not paying attention to?

  • @mcbc5189

    Peyton, the winning design looks great. But how would that design translate into a real webpage? I recreated the design in Photoshop but realized the hero section will look odd with its left and right margins of white space relative to current design trends that take the hero section to the edge of the page.

    • @ideaplusagency
      @ideaplusagency 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      With bootstrap or tailwind the css for this margin could be a 3 or 4 () which would create the white space on each side. It's similar to css code for "cards" in development (which rounds the corners) which helps to break up the information on a page.

    Hello, I'm seeking your assistance in revamping my school management software project. I've invested significant effort into it already, but I've noticed a decline in my comfort level over time. I find myself stuck in a loop where each attempt to enhance the design seems to make it worse than before. I'm particularly struggling with decisions related to color, typography, and spacing. Could you please help me redesign the software?
